My original large Denman paddle brush I finally threw away after it started coming apart. I had had it I would estimate for 20-25 years, so it was a good one. The new one I received has a shorter, thinner handle that is a bit small for my medium large hands, it is also lighter and feels a tad cheaper. The texture of the plastic is different too, it has less grip than the old one which seemed to have a non-slip coating of some kind. Only time will tell if this stands up to the test of time but I think the handle will eventually prompt me to look for something else. ... show more

Only reason I replaced this same brush after 15+ years was bc I left mine behind while traveling. This is the only paddle brush you ever need. Its super lightweight and detangles super well.
