I was very excited when I found these lights on Amazon. I've been looking for something like these for the last 6 months, and they looked like they'd match my decor perfectly! I was pleasantly surprised today when they showed up at my door a day early (thanks Amazon)! I bought these lamps to put in a room that currently has no lighting option in it. Disappointingly, after putting these lamps together, they really don't omit much light at all. Decor wise they look great, except for the lamp shades. In the description it says the lamp shades are white, these lamp shades are definitely NOT white!! My walls are a light tan-ish/beige color....these lamp shades blend right into the wall. So now I still have a dark room, and lamps with the wrong color lamp shades. Now I have to decide if I want to go spend even more money to buy white lamp shades that I should have already received, or do I sit and take both these lamps all apart (they were hell to get together) and put them back in the box the best I can to return them (which I can't do any time soon because everything is closed due to the Coronavirus)....just frustrating and disappointing. The assembly for these are awful! It really should be quick and easy, but with the design of the lamps it's almost impossible to get the screws screwed out and then back in (even then, when they're screwed completely in they are not flush with the lamp). The second lamp I put together I couldn't even get two screws in on one side because it wasn't pushed in flush. I even called a big guy from next door to come over and help me to get it pushed in all the way so I can get the screws in, and he couldn't even get it. PLEASE update your description of the lamps online!!! They definitely should NOT be rated 5 out of 5 stars for brightness, and the lamp shades are NOT white. ... show more

    • 3 MAJOR PROBLEMS

I had 3 problems with this lamp: 1) The top U-shaped pole piece did not fit into the double poles below it. I had to use a hammer to bang it into place in order to attach the screws. TIP: I used black nail polish to cover all the damage to the lamp's finish that was caused while I tried to put the lamp together. 2) The lamp's on/off switch is located on the rear of the lamp. (The same side the electrical cord exits the lamp) 3) The bottom base of the lamp is not flush with the floor. The lamp stands straight, but I can rock it back & forth when I touch it. Despite all these problems, when I finally put it together & used my nail polish (LOL) to cover the damages, I love the lamp. It is beautiful. Keep in mind that it's the luck of the draw with this lamp. If you decide to order it, you may get a good one with none of these problems, but be prepared for the possibility of trouble!! ... show more

Great for the price. Has a contemporary and classy look. It didn’t assemble perfectly, one of the sides didn’t quite click into place all the way, but it’s not noticeable. The first one that came to me had a dented lampshade, but I requested a replacement, which was easy and fast. The return process wasn’t too inconvenient either, fortunately. Overall, it looks really nice. I’d recommend it. Although, judging by the other reviews saying it was damaged and with my similar experience, I’d say it would be likely for there to be an issue with it when it arrives.     • Have an offset screwdriver before you start.

Putting it together was more trouble than it should have been. The screw holes didn't line up. They give you a wrench to tighten the one bolt at the bottom but what you really need is an offset screwdriver, which I had to buy. They should also supply touch up paint for the screws. Since the holes didn't line up I had to fight to get the screws to lie halfway flat. Other than that...it's beautiful! ... show more

It's fine. Sturdy. Easy to assemble. Good quality materials. On the downside: There's no way to hide the cord. At a minimum, they should provide clips to run it along the back post. Ideally, the cord would run THROUGH one of the posts to the floor, making it invisible.

I purchased 2 of these for my daughter's room. She is 14 years old. I put in the Amazon light bulbs that is linked to the Amazon echo and she enjoys telling Alexa to turn on/off the lights. The shelves are great and it gives her the opportunity to display the things that she likes (instead of it being crammed/cluttered somewhere). One of the shades has a stain on the back. it's a great lamp and looks as advertised. Didn't give it the 5 stars because the shadow support it's a bit flimsy, and had to adjust it by bending the steel wires. careful when doing so, they make break off. assembly was simple, the fasteners were not of good quality though, and care must be taken to avoid marring/scraping the paint. not worth 90 dollars as it arrived already scratched on the marble base. I got it for $50 a few months ago and it is a good light. lampshade makes light look yellow though, so if you don’t like that look i would avoid this product.
