I kept waiting for it to frizz! I let my wet hair dry slightly using a microfiber turban while I did my makeup. Put in my usual leave-in conditioner and used a spray heat protectant and went to work drying my hair. I could not believe how simple using the brush was. Pros: gets hot quickly; medium to large size barrel - good for waves/loose curls; easy to hold on to top end (suggest glove because it is somewhat short); 3 speeds/temps; dries hair quickly; does not appear to add a lot of static; smooths hair; great value compared to other more expensive models/brands; standard cord length that swivels Cons: speed/temp control is on handle and can easily be turned up or down just by where you hold on; gets very hot so you need to work quickly; medium and high seem to be the same air speed-just different temperatures. I have excessively fine, thin hair, so being a vain creature, I also have sew-in hair extensions. The texture of the extensions is different from my own baby fine nonsense, and one of my biggest stressors is trying to get the hair to blend. I'm not *good at hair* so my willingness to labor over this is finite. I found a reference to this on Reddit as a good solution for generally making your hair look good, so I went for it. I'm glad I did. It's easy to use and gives my whole head of mismatched hairs a luster and volume that delights. I dry weft by weft, starting with my wee neck feathers and then working up to each sewn in layer of hair before finishing with my own hair. I read reviews about how loud the dryer is, and I won't deny that it has some pipes on it, but I use the "low" setting just to protect my hair from excessive heat, and it's really not any louder than a regular hair dryer. I'm happy with the quality of the dryer, and find the design easy to use. It took a little practice, but I've gotten pretty comfortable with it. Reiterating my extreme resistance when it comes to spending time and effort on haircare, the fact that I'm willing to take 15-20 minutes to dry using this I think is a testament to the quality of the output. I have fine hair and like that I can blow dry my hair with this brush on low and takes no more than 5 minutes. I feel it is better for my hair since I can blow dry on low and not long. Find the texture of my hair is much better. The blow dryer is larger and heavier than I am use to, so is somewhat difficult for me to handle. ... show more

Got it out of the box and immediately washed my hair to try it. B3 curls and worked great on my first try. I did use the Medium heat and as soon as hair felt hot I switched to cool to continue drying. In the top half I decided to use the low setting and it worked much better than Medium at drying my hair evenly without over heating it. After my first attempt I am happy. This hair brush dryer is much quieter than the older models for sure, but still too loud for my sensitive ears so I opted to use air plus. With so many women (and man) wearing hearing aids when they get older, I take protecting my ear drums very seriously. My hair is soft and the volume is awesome. The barrel is a bit bigger than I was expecting. I thought I’d. Read that it was about 2.5 inches, but it’s more like 4.5 inches. It works so well! I bought it to give my hair more volume, and it does that and more. It makes my hair more smooth with less frizz and flyaways, and makes it so much straighter than I hardly have to straighten it after. It makes my hair so soft too.
