The device works fine and feels nice in the hand, heats up fairly quickly, a little overpriced in my opinion. It does straighten hair but I have fine thin hair and was under the impression it would give me a kind of blow out look which it didn't do at all. Also made my hair feel a little static. I do love how small it is and I can re-straighten my hair during lunch break if it’s super humid outside or raining. I like it! The size Is good, it straightens my hair nicely and I love the fact that it's cordless. However, it doesn't hold a charge for long at all. I'm not sure if this is normal but, I use for 5 minutes, turn it off and It's dead before the next use. Like it loses the charge wow the power is off. I've needed to plug it in every time I've used it. The only other complaint I have is, the power and temperature selector button is in an inconvenient place. Update: March 30th 2024 It has been 5 months, and unfortunately the battery is no longer holding through even one round of straightening. I charge it fully when it dies, which takes over an hour. And than begins to die after about 20 minutes which takes about 5 just to heat up. It also does not heat up well enough to straighten anymore, even at the highest setting. Within those 5 months I have only used it a handful of times. I must also mention that my hair is no longer as long as it was in the picture from my first review. It is now at shoulder length. Was great while it lasted. Review from oct 2023: First I just want to say, ignore the bad reviews! I have a feeling people that are dissatisfied with this may not have even read the instructions. BUT ANYWAY, if you are thinking about getting one, BUY IT! I hesitated for weeks on buying this because of people’s negative reviews about the battery life. Which is a huge deal for something that is cordless and its soul purpose is to be a portable hair straightener lol. But I figured hey, if it’s true…I can just return it. First, look at the packaging! It immediately feels like it’s worth the money and I don’t even find $50 to be a lot for a good hair straightener. Packaging was beautiful. Following the instructions, I charged it for 2 hours before use. Read further instructions on how to correctly utilize it for my hair type. I was so excited to test it out! My hair is thick and wavy and usually takes a good 30-40 minutes to straighten. This took me maybe 15-20 minutes! I sectioned my hair and basically brushed it through my hair like I would when brushing and it straightened it almost effortlessly! It did not die, nor is the battery close to dying!! I love love love it! This was the first time, and so far so good. If I run into any issues, I will be sure to update my review! So I wanted to give this thing a few chances before my review. Unfortunately, I'm now pass the return policy. I used it during travel and after I blow-dry my hair. During a car ride, I tried to use this and unfortunately, it doesn't straighten my hair if at all. I feel the heat but my hair was still wavy and no style. Once I stop after trying to straighten one area for 15 minutes, I tried to come back to it several hours later. The wand ran out of batteries and I had to recharge it. Ugh! This is not travel worthy. I wish I could still return it. I gave it a 2 stars because the idea/concept is great! Those with long hair that needs a little styling on the go needs something like this! Plus, the size is perfect! This was a cool concept and I was planning on taking it with me on an upcoming trip, but used it a couple of times and it wasn't doing anything for me. Tried it with medium length hair and after I cut my hair short. It takes a long time to reach max heat. The bristles and plates are far apart, so you have to run it through your hair so many times to see an actual difference. This product is not meant for fine or thin hair. I have less hair in the front so with the passes it wasn't really straightening that area. Honestly it doesn't straighten your hair like a flat iron or blower brush would. It left my hair choppy and frizzy. I swear I could get a better result with slicking my hair back and sleeping in a tight pony tail. They need to redesign the product, because even the heat felt minimal. Maybe if the plates were closer together and longer this product would be a 10. Love the convenience of this portable (no cord) hair straightener but I just wish the battery lasted longer. Also, the buttons on the handle are too easy to press (which adjusts the temp) while using. It is also very easy to lose the little inflight button too. But, other than that I really like it!
