This is my first review on a product bought from Amazon, but this hair straightening comb deserves it. I have thick natural curly light brown hair that goes to the middle of my back. I have tried every flat iron, straightening brush, hair dryer, and brush out there. I watched the videos and saw this and thought we’ll shoot why not give it a try. It’s not expensive when related to some of the items I have bought. Most recently a 250 BayBliss flight iron. Which I will never use again. This comb worked! It was so easy and I can get the back of my hair which usually still has some crazy waves going on. No matter how much I flatten it. I can do my entire head in ten mins and it is straight straight!!! Love love love this!!! You are gonna read oh the button placement this or the colors that or the size this! I read those too….however it works! I bought the black and pink and it was black and pink. The buttons are right where they said they would be. The heat levels are not complicated and the size was normal! It so awesome!!! Awesome awesome awesome!! ... show more

What?? This is so cheap and works so much better than any straightener I've owned. Here's the big caveat... you have very little control over the ends of your hair. I've owned Solia, Chi, am currently using the white T3... my hair has never been easier to straighten or as straight on the top of my head. You don't get the wavy crimp lines from a flat straightener because this thing basically combs into your hair and straightens from the root out an inch so there is no way to have a crimp line. I am blown away by how shiny my hair looks. And it was crazy easy. Took no effort. In fact, you almost have to use bigger sections with this tool than with a flat iron straightener. Okay so here's the snag, and you can tell just by watching any video of someone using it. You need to hold pressure on your hair to hold it inside of the tool, so when you get to the ends and have to let go, there is no way to really control the ends. I was able to hold my hair until the last little bit slipped from my fingers and I managed to curl the ends under. The finished look is great. But if I wanted it to be stick straight all the way to the end, not curled under at all, that would be a little harder. Does this replace a flat iron? No. I often straighten just the ends of my hair after curling it, and I could not do that with this tool. However, this thing is waay faster and easier and makes my hair shinier and smoother than a flat iron. The heat up time is slow. At first just the top blue light was blinking and I thought that meant it was warming up. Nope. You need to hit the power button (again?). The blinking blue light apparently just shows you it's plugged in. Once you hit the power button, the white lights will indicate the power/heat level and the top blinking white light will become solid once it's done heating. It took maybe 30 sec - 1 min longer than my usual flat iron heat up time. Safety/fire prevention... so this thing would be harder to burn yourself on for sure. Also, the actual hot plates don't touch your counter or anything other than your hair because the guards block them. The back of the tool is flat. It DOES get HOT, but touchably hot. It might melt plastic carpeting. But I have no concerns with setting the flat backside directly on my counter, which means I no longer have to balance a straighener on its case or a hot pad. I am just in shock... I didn't expect this cheap thing to work so well. I literally just bought a dyson airwrap after years of wanting one and am not nearly as blown away with it. This would be a great gift for anyone into beauty or hair because it's not a common device to own and works amazing and is relatively inexpensive. So glad I tried it. ... show more

Read what you like in order by subtitles What i love What i dislike Opinions on Accesories included Brief introduction: I have really curly hair and i let my hair air dry than brush it and use the tymo… the results that i get are not flat straight hair as i would with a flat iron. It gives like a blow dry look. See images for the before (after brushing curly air dry hair) and after (when using tymo). I love my hair pretty straight, so when i wanted it like that i jumped from my tymo to my flat iron. What i love…. Saves time My hair is so soft to the touch After using the tymo one day my husband said my hair shined, never heard him say that When i do my hair with the flat iron i dont get to actually do hairstyles… that may sound difficult to comprehend. But when i style with the tymo alone my hair is more manageable to do hairstyles and i do feel its less heat damage even though i use the highest heat setting. Anither thing i love is how it gets the roots. As i mentioned earlier i have CURLY hair…. I’m not sure how the brush can do it but it gets the roots and that is a HUGE plus. One of my favorite parts. Because if you are a person that does rollers only you can choose to take down your roller set and just pass the tymo on the roots and keep the curls of your roller set. Its a nice product to have. And i feel it can NOT really be compared to a flat iron… that wouldn't really be fair. I have both and i am happy i have my tymo and bought it for $39.99 before taxes on Amazon. What i dislike…… The position of the power button - as i style i have found myself turning it off. So the tymo has a 30 minute automatic timer and turns off. The bad part and that i dont like about this is, that when it turns off on me i am not aware. Soooo last time i realized i was styling my hair and never realized it had turned off so i was only styling with the remainder hear left on the brush. I feel it would of been mice if it made some sort of beep to alert the user that it turned off 30 minutes in. I feel next time i would put a 30 minute alarm on and turn the tymo off myself and than turn it back on to have it restart. Its NOT a huge inconvenience, but I need to be more alert… if you continue looking at the brush you can notice it turns off when the lights go out but iMm focusing on other things as i style… Lets talk Tymo accesories—- I do NOT like the glove, why? Because it has these pink little dots on it that don’t help with touching the hair. I feel the glove would be more useful if those were removed from the design. The glove is supposed to be worn in the hand touching the hair not the one holding the Tymo so for me it was a dissapointment to touch my hair and have it against that glove. So i don't use it at all. THE clips that come with the Tymo i do love!! They are great, amazing hold! The tymo bag to put the brush in is cute. And made of a really nice material. The little detangling brush is not bad. I use it, not amazing but nice to have. I would of changed the bristle. ... show more

I like how you can get super close to the scalp without burning yourself, it did straighten my hair more easily and quickly than a regular straightening iron, but not in under 10 minutes or super fast as advertised. I also like the comb and clips it comes with. Since it was fairly inexpensive, I'm curious to see how long it will last. ... show more
