If you can overlook the shoddy QA and rusty parts on a brand new product, for what it is this grill is pretty good. I have used it a few times now and it does the job just like you want it to. I would like for the charcoal grate to be a little smaller to accommodate lump charcoal but other than that, it's a solid performer. The lid fits so given the lax Cuisinart QA, that was a pleasant surprise. Locking the lid closed was also a pleasant surprise as the lid clamps are pretty good. Closing the vents puts out the charcoal like you would expect, some larger grills allow the fire to continue to burn so that's a nice plus. If you can get it on a good sale like I did, the rusty screws and missing finish can be overlooked but it's still disappointing to see a brand like Cuisinart put so little effort into their products. ... show more
