I’ve only used once so far, let it charge fully before first use. I have a 20 foot around above ground and it lasted long enough to do a full clean and still had battery left. Decent suction. Even though it’s not supposed to get algae it definitely got a decent amount that had settled at bottom after we had a week’s worth of rain. It got leaves, sand, and then some. Definitely worth the money. I read reviews of about 15-20 vacuums before settling on this one. So far, so good! We will see how it holds up throughout the long Georgia summers! The concept of this vacuum is great and I was very excited to get this. Opening the box everything was well packed and it snaps together easily. It feels sturdy enough for a pool product; lightweight to be easily maneuverable in the pool, but substantial enough to feel sturdy. The poll extends easily in 2 spots and makes it long enough to reach to the middle of my 12' wide pool. The vacuum sucks water up from the bottom into the filter, then out ports near the top of the body. Picking it up out of the pool takes a little effort as the entire clear canister stays full of water. Not too heavy, but not as light as the unit was when it went into the water. The basket does filter out medium sized debris. If you look closely at my third picture, I have a combination of sand/pollen from my oaks that accumulated on the bottom. The vacuum picked it up easily, but the filter just pushed it right thru out the discharge ports. So all it did was pick up the dirt and cloud the pool water. Some good news, the pool filter will then clean it out, but I have a cloudy pool in the meantime. Medium sized leaves and debris were sucked in and picked up in the basket. Larger leaves around the size of your hand could not be sucked into the unit, but I could pick the up to the top of the water and pull them off the unit. Opening the unit to clean is very easy, the large lever on the front separates the unit for cleaning. Battery time was great, I've cleaned the pool a few times and it hasn't needed a charge yet. My only complaint so far is that it doesn't filter out the sand and dirt at the bottom of the pool - it just picks it off the floor and blows it out into the water. If this could be fixed this unit would be great. But, it is useful for leaves to get them off the bottom of the pool. So not 5 stars, but good enough for 3. ##UPDATE## The seller contacted me via Amazon and sent me a new filter basket. They were very quick to help and shipping the new part to me was handled quickly. I can't say it changed too much overall. But, I do think my expectations were too high. I expected this to work like my pool vacuum but that just not what this can do. It's meant to pick up debris off the bottom and not pollen or fine dirt. So, with my new expectations, this does do it's job and it's easy to use. ... show more

This would would be incredible if it had one more section of pole . Comes up short on a inground pool with 10 ft section . Changing it over to the pool brush pole isn't bad but falls off alot leaving it in the deep end running. Once you get past that little problem it way better than dragging out the big hose and hook up ... show more

Had a pool blaster turbo for 3 years, not a issue, until the handle broke. Simple and pretty good cleaning. This vac ripped my pool and my wife refused to use it because it was so hard to use. The head articulate too much and too easy. Every time I pick it up to move around in the pool, the head changes angles and I have to try and get it to lay flat. Very tiring. The bottom is rough on the pool. It got got on any little wrinkle on the bottom of our above ground pool and even ripped a hole. We only had it for a month.     • Vacuuming the pool in 2024, who woulda guessed?!
This is a very cool product that I did not know existed, but always wanted! When you need to get the pool floor clean quick, and don’t have time for the regular robot to do its job, this is great for touch ups! Its also awesome for the stairs where the big robot struggles to get to. It holds a ton of debris, so you don’t have to worry about emptying it super-fast. Its not cheap at all, very high quality, yet easy to maneuver in the pool. The battery life is awesome, I could have cleaned our 20x40 pool twice over before the battery needed to be re-charged. The only complaint I have is that the stick is not longer. It was not possible to clean the deep end of a 9-foot pool or the middle of a 20x40 foot pool, unless I was in the water, with goggles on, diving down. Yes, I did that because I needed it cleaned up fast. Sand and dirt clean up super easy. Even larger things like leaves would get sucked up. I would say this is best for a shallow pool, or an above ground circle pool, but I am still planning to use it, since its quick, and has its benefits over a large robot. I would buy it again, even though the handle is short. Because of that, I give it a 4 star rating ... show more
