  • Easy to Install: The skimmer includes two adjustable height mounting brackets, allowing it to be easily and appropriately mounted to the sidewall in different above-ground pools with inflatable collars, tubular structures, and most metal frame structures. Caution: Do not over-tighten the clamp that holds the skimmer mounting bracket in place on the pool's sidewall. Over-tightening the mounting clamp can cause the mount bracket or the clamp to break.
  • Cleans Automatically: The skimmer works in conjunction with your filter pump by sucking the surface water through the strainer basket, which captures the debris, then the water is sucked down through the hose and into the filter pump for automatic pool cleaning
  • Easy Cleaning: The strainer basket is easy to pull out, allowing fast debris removal and cleaning. The surface skimmer operates best with a filter pump with a minimum flow rate of 800 gph (3,028 L/hr) or higher. Includes a connector hose, an adaptor, and instructions

The media could not be loaded. I bought a Bestway Power Steel pool from Costco this year that does not have a skimmer box. I purchased this along with skimmer socks and I am so excited for how perfect it is working!! The skimmer socks are a MUST for catching those small particles and bugs. The skimmer itself was easy to set up and came with the hose attachments to fit the pool set up. No more daily manual skimming for this girl! Note: If you have two outlet ports, you will need to plug the other one to create effective suction for the skimmer. I just unscrewed the outer screen and then placed the rubber stopper that came with the pool backward over the hole. The suction of the filter will hold it in place. Happy skimming!! ... show more

Overall the surface skimmer works and the only negative was the pump I have is the one that came with the pool. So it did not have a strong enough suction to perform 100%, even though it is still collecting bugs, and some leafs. Installing it was very easy and had multiple options.

I put this U.S. Pool Supply Premium Pool Surface Skimmer on the side of my 15 foot round Intex Pool. This skimmer is the best! It stays against the wall, the plastic piece that holds the basket in is long, so it doesn't bob up and down at all... and no need to weigh down the basket. All of the pieces that come for the Skimmer are high quality. It can be used for two types of pools (see description). This surface skimmer picks up the tiniest pieces of dirt and works way better than the other Blue/White Filter that I've been using for years. This skimmer is ok for anybody just looking to have a skimmer without making any alterations to your pool. Not very effective. It catches some debris. The design is it's flaw. Plastic after 1 season is noticeably faded from contact with the chlorinated water. Looks to be susceptible to becoming brittle. I'll find out this next season. Go with a different product, with a better design to not allow debris to miss the skimmer. Better yet, get a hold of your pool manufacturer and get their advice on approved alternative skimmers ... show more

This is an updated to a review I left after installing it. I was really happy with it. It seemed to work better than the intex skimmer. As long as no one is in the pool, and it is set at the perfect height, it works pretty good. But I’ve noticed over the last couple times we have entered the pool, if there are bugs and such in it at the top, everything just splashes out and ends up floating back in the pool. I ordered an Intex skimmer just before writing this update. I like that this one sits perfect and is smaller, but the functionality of it, is disappointing. Really sad, cause I like the looks and the size of it. ... show more
