I like this tool. I do with it came with a hanger of some sort as it is easy to misplace the pieces. In addition, it is a bit of a pain to spin on and off. I bought an above ground pool that was on sale. It wasn't until I started putting it together for my nephews that I realized I needed more than just water and shock. Skimming the fallen leacves was simple, but I began to notice the debris settled on the bottom. It was only a 10 by 30 inch pool, so I didn't need to go elaborate. Simple would suffice, and this serves the job. I was able to clean the floor with the hose and vacuum attachment in minutes. Being that I lose a few gallons when they are playing, I am able to fill the pool again while collecting at the same time. I left it in one place and watched as some debris was sucked into the bag, but it was easier to run it back and forth to gather the visible particle. Easy to assemble and clean as well. I’m surprised the vacuum worked as well as it does. Cleans my whole pool with ease. The pole extends really long. My only complaint is sometimes the pole doesn’t want to lock into place when you extend it.

The intex equipment has its own standard sizing, which means this pole will not work with anything requiring a “standard telescopic” pole. Beyond that, you need basic upkeep equipment to maintain a pool and the skimmer and pole get the job done. The pole lost its tightening ability after the first couple of weeks. The vacuum works with your hose and will do a good enough job until you can upgrade it. It is cheap, small, and time consuming but gets the job done if that’s all you have. I keep it for backup because you never know when your upgrades will fail. I do use the skimmer head frequently and it stays in the elements and is still in great shape. In short, purchase if you need backup equipment, but this isn’t the best solution for long term pool maintenance. ... show more

Works great for large and some small debris but won't catch smaller particles like sand and dirt very well. However, after trying a hack online (put a long tube sock with some cotton or foam pad filling stuffed inside) over the net it comes with and it catches very small debris so much better! This pool cleaner totally surprised me at how easy and effective it is to clean our pool. So simple you just attack your garden hose, and start slowly moving it back and forth. You can see the force of the water pushing in the debris into the bag. Will definitely purchase again if I need to!
