The included pool skimmer scoops up leaves while the vacuum sucks up algae, debris and grim. The 9 ft aluminum pole enables the vacuum and skimmer to clean hard to reach areas of above ground pools. Debris is collected into a removable and reusable debris bag. The kit includes multiple adapters for connections to all Bestway® pools and filter systems. We bought a Bestway pool from Costco last year. It came with a 1500gph sand filter with no skimmer or floor vacuum. We tried out a rechargeable hand brush vacuum, but the glue came apart and it was an utter disaster. This vaccuum brush was a pain at first. I didn’t follow the instructions and plugged one of the two outlets while running the vaccuum. The pump kept getting air in it and I was getting frustrated. I ran the vaccuum at the same time as the skimmer and it barely worked. Luckily, some further problems happened with the filter that caused me to upgrade to a 3100gph sand filter. The upgrade made life easy and the vacuum and skimmer both work at the same time, with adequate suction. Life should be easier this summer. ... show more

I would recommend for anyone who is trying to vacuum algae from their pool. We purchased 2 different battery-powered pool vacuums to eliminate dead algae from our pool. Both had nets that were not fine enough so the algae simply recirculated back into the pool. This Flowclear worked great because it goes through the tube into our sand filter. It took a minute to get the suction going, but once it was on, it was perfect. For the price, you can't beat it. TIP: Make sure to let any standing air in the tubes out as you connect it to the filter. Ours has a hex-shaped valve that we could release to remove any air. Once the circuit was cleared of air, it was perfect. We didn't nail it the first time but figured it out. ... show more

Worked as advertised, was easy to set up, battery power was adequate. I like the extra filters that come with it and it has adequate power Im pleased with the cleaner, it worked in my pool very well. The ONLY drawback was the terrible instructions.

I needed a quick fix for a pool vacuum. This helped. It seriously was better than nothing. Though, I have a gripe. The connection from the vacuum brush to the filter in the brush....very shoddy. On many occasions the part of the vacuum that had the filters out debris...just came off. The base didn't swivel and it just came undone on its own. Not a very reliable locking mechanism on the vacuum filter. Otherwise, it does a good job. But the locking mechanism, not so great. ... show more

    • Hide collapses too easy

The hose collapses too easy. I have 2 intake valves on my pool. I have a skimmer hooked up to one and I hooked the vacuum up to the other, this resulted in not enough suction. I used a stopper with a small hole provided with my pool on the skimmer side and still not enough suction. Next I removed the skimmer put a complete stopper on, now the hose collapsed at the area that is not corrugated. (Not sure why there is an area like this on the hose) I tried over and over to manipulate the suction but ended with either not enough suction or a collapsed hose. I ended up having to purchase a $99 hose made for pool &spa vacuums. The other issue is the filter cartridge comes apart very easily and causes captured debris to be released into the pool. ... show more

Absolutely love this vacuum. We have always had one of those 20$ ones that attaches to the hose and has a net. Unfortunately this year we got a killer algae bloom. Finally managed to get it killed but the bottom on the pool was covered in dirt and dead algae that our other vacuum could not pick up. Used this vacuum on the waste setting on our pump. Cleaned very thoroughly and quickly. The head does not get around the very edges of our oval pool so I just got in, detached the head, and used the hose itself to suck up the rest. 10/10 recommend. ... show more

Our winter cover fell off during the winter and the water was so green it was almost black. We got out as many leaves as we could. We bought a robotic vacuum and it was working but would stir it up more than it could pick up. So we got this vacuum and could see the difference using it just once. I have vacuumed three times with it and the pool is finally cleaning up and can see the bottom. We had a lot of microscopic algae all over the bottom of the pool. The instructions are not helpful. I used another reviewers video to hook mine up and it didn’t have any suction. Changed to the other valve and still no suction. The pump was running. I don’t know what the problem is but it didn’t pick up the first speck of dirt or leaf. Not happy.
