We all needed new pillows and have been indecisive on making a choice and finally agreed on these. So glad we did! We got them fast. Once unpacked, you could feel the cooling effect right away. You don't need the little tags to let you know which side is which, you can tell which is the cooling. They are very nicely made. good stitching and seams. Soft the way you'd expect bamboo to be. Very lovely! We left them out to "fill" since they were compressed to ship. It said 24-48 hours until it reach it's full capacity but we used them about 8 hours after we got them because they were VERY full by then. My hubs is a side/back sleeper and he sleep so soundly for hours, yeah, he loves them. Although he did take a little bit of stuffing out of them. I'm a side sleeper and I've left them as they came... my shoulders don't hurt anymore. I might take some stuffing out of one pillow because on occasion I will sleep on my back/stomach but right now I'm just enjoying sleeping on my side. I fall asleep so quickly and sleep so soundly all night. Where I fall asleep is where I wake it! Truly I'm shocked, Who knew? Our teenage son has them too and he's liking them, too. Maybe it's just the fact that our pillows were old and we badly needed new ones but having a great pillow to sleep on sure does help! ... show more

Unfortunately cheated out and bought this rather than the COOP. Nice pillows but advertised as adjustable. The only adjustment is to remove foam. Unfortunately they are too soft for me. I wasted my money. Bought the COOP and it was too soft but came with extra foam. After putting the extra foam in the COOP the firmness is good. ... show more

You can remove the foam in whatever amounts you would like to make it the perfect stiffness for your liking. I also love that one side is cooling, it truly does stay cold and is the best feature! If you've been disappointed by other shredded memory foam pillows, these are unlikely to change your mind. The overall construction is generally good. I like the covers and the cooling effect is neat if a little gimmicky (it doesn't seem to last more than a few minutes). The fill appears to be new foam vs scrap from mattress production, which might explain the intense off-gassing. The problem (for me) is the mixed-density. Some pieces are soft and plush while others are dense and almost rock hard. As a side sleeper I prefer a firm pillow but I like some plush and loft too, which is why I've used down chambered pillows for years. These are firm with almost no "give" to them. You can remove fill but that just makes them thinner. It's like laying on a brick, and these are by far the lumpiest pillows I've ever used. Those denser pieces of foam I mentioned? You can feel every one of them as they press against the side of your face. If you need something extremely firm with adjustable height these might be for you. If you want something soft AND supportive I recommend looking elsewhere. ... show more

So far, I've been using the pillows for 2 weeks. I like it. First impression, was wow. The cool side is cool to the touch. It doesn't over heat at night. Stays neutral all night long. Firm at first, then softens up a bit after 20 minutes or so, but not too soft. I like it!

I love the feeling of gel memory foam but this dies kinda get flat over time and the coldness doesn't stay and washing the cover makes it break down and make balls and fall apart the quality it good but not great
