I love everything about this fan! It's not too big and not too small. It fits nicely on my husband's night stand and leaves plenty of room for his phone, wallet etc.. I bought this fan because my husband and I go around and around about his old fan! It was way too noisey and I couldn't stand it. I would have to turn my TV up to 70 just to be able hear it and of course with him trying to sleep that irritated him. So, to solve the problem I ordered this fan. I was very apprehensive about buying a fan online because I've been known to order stuff and have it be something completely different when you get it (either too small or not what you expected). But I watched the video another customer made and was sold on the quietness and power of this one. (The video was not wrong!) This fan is exactly how it seems in the video. I cannot believe how quiet it actually is (compared to our old fan). I slept really peacefully last night and had no issues! Thank God 🙌 The air output is amazing just on low. runs silently, cools my med. size room on low speed. Well made all metal. Even these good fans are using thinner, lighter weight metal. I decided to stock up good fans before the makers start to downsize on quality to so-called keep their costs down. The plastic fans also got real expensive while being too light & cheaply made & box fans are so flimsy & easily tip over....from my experience. Now back to the comfort zone fan; it is thinner metal this year, not too thin. No noise at all, really moves air.. I think it will pay for itself, saving on AC & utilities in 2 seasone in Florida. The fan arrived in a heavily-damaged - obviously re-packed - box. Fortunately, only a small part of the fan was bent. Turning it on, I quickly realized that, although the sound level was "moderate," the vibration on medium and especially high, was pretty miserable. Indeed, the fan kept "walking" across my wood floor on high speed. (I'm sticking with LOW) The fan seems well-made, but not well-balanced. UPDATE: Though I hate to take things apart - I did so with this fan. And I quickly determined the main cause of the fan's vibration: one of the three (rather easily-bent) fan blades was "out of plane," meaning that it was bent either above or below the horizontal "line" that all blades are supposed to follow. I unplugged the fan and painstakingly pried off the front wire cage. (there are little clips) then I manually turned the fan, noting which blades followed a "line" that in my case was one of the outside wire cage wires. I found one blade was nearly a half inch under the plane - and then began a time-taking "bend-run-bend-run-bend-run" bit of frustration until I had the erring blade back in "plane." Turned on the fan, and now it works much better. Oh, there is still some vibration, but it is not enough for me to complain loudly. If you buy this fan - and it vibrates as badly as mine did - check the fan blades, because while they are metal, they are almost fragile, and easily bent by anybody. ... show more

Comfort Zone CZHV12B High Velocity Cradle Fan | 3 Speed, 12 Inch Fan I liked this little powerful fan so much that I ended up buying a total of three. I use one fan to direct cold air from a window air conditioner, the second fan to supply air flow in a room that doesn't have a ceiling fan, and I keep the third fan nearby to blow directly on me when I'm at my computer. Not too loud, just a steady white noise and very good at pushing air across the room, three fan speeds, low, medium, high. And far less expensive for me than running the central air conditioning to cool down the whole house, I'm typically in the same room most of the time. If you love the wind, and are looking for better than a gentle breeze, I imagine you will love this strong little fan. NOTE: I purchased two brand new fans, all good. But the third fan was a used fan for a lesser price, it had a slight imbalance on the blades that did not affect function but generated a mild detectable buzzing noise, not the motor but the way the air passed through the blades. Not a problem for me, but consider buying a brand new one (not a used one) if you don't want to risk imperfections like this. ... show more

I wanted something for the bedroom that made white noise without it being gigantic. This 12 in fan was perfect. I unboxed it and it worked great. Fast forward 6 weeks, it died. Just like that. Croaked. I turned it on, it makes a weird noise like it wants to work but the blades never move and you can hear the motor burning. I chatted with an Amazon CS Rep tonight and that’s always a blast. This dude just kept telling me to call the manufacturer because it was out of the Amazon return window. I tried explaining several times that I will follow up with them but when I clicked on the seller link it took me to some weird cat product page???? The Amazon rep had all the personality of a roll of wet toilet paper. He never helped me and I probably did what he wanted in the first place when I pushed End Chat. I’ll follow up with the manufacturer but so far this stupid fan has been a major pain. Buy it if you have spare time or need more frustration in your life. If not, keep looking! Maybe I got a dud? Maybe they’ll replace it? I won’t hold my breath. Positive note: I did actually like it the 6 whole weeks it worked!! ... show more

We only buy metal blade fans now after decades of buying plastic blade fans. This fan blows so much harder even on low. In fact, we've only had to run it on low. We use it outside, down south, at campgrounds.
