I had the expensive designer Brookstone massager, looks exactly the same only a little bigger and heavier, however after a couple years the battery for cordless charge stopped working and it was never the same. Everything great about the High-End brand massager, this massager has...only even better! Honestly happily surprised that for some a less expensive price, this one offers an even better massage because the battery, though not cordless like my previous one, is reliable and keeps it going. I use for my back scoliosis and for my stomach pains at night - this massager is honestly a lifesaver and I recommend anyone with IBS or back spinal pain to order! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because it doesn't heat up as hot as brookstones (it does heat up just fine tho!) and because I wish the cord was longer. I would say I wish it was a cordless charge like the Brookstone one, but I learned the hard way that in the long run cordless doesn't last for high power and often used massagers. Then I opened it up and wrapped it on my neck and I just got the chills, I guess that I really needed a neck massage, but then I put it on my shoulders and within a minute my shoulders just relaxed and I felt so good. After that I played around with it and used it on my feet, lower back and leg. I purchased this to replace my previous Comfier massager. This looked identical to what I had, & I'd been so pleased with that one, I was interested in replacing it with the same thing. There are many differences with this one, and it's MUCH lower quality. The default speed is FAST, which doesn't offer any relief. It can be slowed down, but it's still faster than the previous model. The arms don't fasten together, like the previous model, so it's a bit harder to keep in place. First off, this could be just because I am very bony near my shoulder blade area but also I feel that the design could be a little better to accommodate using this in other areas. This feels good but this sucker HURTS. the first time I used it I literally felt like I was bruised in multiple areas the next day, tender to the touch. It quickly subsided but still hurts when used. My “thicker” husband hasn’t used it but not sure if I will keep this as there isn’t really a way for me to use it due to design.
