Lightweight enough to move around easily, powerful enough to actually get my neck and shoulders to (gently) pop. If you suffer from back and neck tension, and aren’t in a tax bracket that allows for a daily massage, this is the next best thing. It won’t massage your limbs- you will need one of the $1500+ chairs that weigh the same as a small car for that. BUT for the price point and ease of movement, this is a fantastic product. I ordered this after trying a friend's similar foldable massage chair. First, let me say that it is very heavy. It requires both my husband and myself to carry this. You will need to use the chair after you have moved it. It looks fine, we leave it set up in our family room. At first I found it very painful on my ribs. Then I had two guests try it out and they had the same experience, but somehow watching them helped me realize what the issue was. You need to relax and let your spine move forward and back as the message heads move up and down your back. Resisting and holding your spine straight is what causes the issue. So if you just relax and let the chair move your back you will get a nice muscle message and also get some spine mobilization. The control has a lot of buttons and choices but I find them intuitive and easy to use. The arms are a bit high for me (I'm 5' 3") but I can see where they would assist someone with real back issues to get back up. The neck massage seems to be too high even at the lowest height setting, but again, once I relaxed and didn't resist moving it became comfortable though it is massaging the back of my head rather than my neck. I have left all of the coverings on (the back pad and the head pillow) and don't feel any need for a more intense massage. I haven't tried the heat feature yet as it is still warm here. I like the handy pocket on the arm for storing the remote. The instructions say to not fall asleep in the chair, but it can be very hard to stay awake! I am glad that I purchased this. Convenient to store. Love the adjustability on the back rest to give different massage force. However once you lean the back rest down, it doesn’t allow the rollers to get to the lower back. Chair is stable. I would prefer not to have the seat massage as it made it somewhat uncomfortable when sitting on it for extended time. I now put a pillow over it. ... show more

I have major back and neck issues, including three back surgeries. I use to have a professional massage therapist appointment every other week. Don’t get me wrong, this doesn’t compare to the massage therapist! However, because you can’t make a massage appointment every day or the days you need it most.. this has been a life saver! If I’m doing a lot on my feet or bending, my back is in bad shape. I sit on this for 30-60 minutes every day or longer if I’m really in pain. I actually haven’t had to make a massage appointment in a year! I think the difference is being able to have a decent amount of massaging every day, rather than once every two weeks. It’s well worth the money!! I’m saving so much without the massage appointments. Note.. If you are on the shorter side it may not be great. I am 5’8” and sitting all the way to the back and upright, the neck rollers are in a perfect place for me! They do adjust up and down, but not sure if it would be comfortable if you are maybe less than 5’6”? But worth a try if you can return it?! We’re using this even more than expected after having it for three months. I love that it folds and stores easily but is still effective. This isn’t going to get rid of your major knots but it’ll relieve the discomfort some and is definitely a relaxing way to end the day

What I expected was one of those chair pad quality hook ups but honestly it felt like a full massage. It's pretty simple to work the controls. The vibration on the bottom pad can be a bit much for some younger users, pleasurable for an older crowd. The chair delivers real pressure into your spine and top of your hips when you sit all the way back in the chair. The neck massager is actually adjustable for shorter people like me (5'1) or taller people like my boyfriend (6'2). When I use my foot spa with this chair, it's like being at the salon. I greatly encourage anyone who's looking for a good product but can't spend the 1000+ (or have the room for a massive massage chair) to buy this chair. It's portable. Comfortable.     • Dead after just a few months!
UPDATE: This chair has completely stopped working after being used only a few times over a few months. The power source is letting power through, but the chair won't turn on and the remote doesn't work. Original Review: This chair does a great job massaging the lower back shiatsu style, but misses on nearly everything else. I'm 6ft, 225lbs. The lower back massage is good. It goes just over halfway up my back. The "vibrating seat" is literally a little vibrator that buzzes your bottom. It's a joke, you can barely feel it. The heat is a joke. The neck massage doesn't get the neck at all. It needs to be redesigned. The back massaging section should be taller so it goes lower and higher, so massage your upper back near the shoulder blades and lower top of the glutes. All in all, it's okay for it's price range. Not really super portable (heavy and awkward to move) but better than the super heavy chairs in the $2500 price range. Helps massage out the lower back, but if you have a partner who's willing, you'd be better off investing in a good massager or putting this money toward a good massage machine like a Jeanie Rub.
