The media could not be loaded. This come along is good for light duty work. While the ratchet gearing looks pretty stout, the rest of it is light duty. My only knock on this come along is that the black sheet metal cable retainer is so tight that I had a difficult time pulling the cable out and off of the take up drum because of the tight interference fit. You never know when you're going to need a tool to help bring items closer together. For lighter duty work, I believe this will easily do the job. Fence work, or other jobs that aren't going to need a heavy duty chain. While this item claims to be capable of 1T, I don't think I've ever want to test it. The metal and bolts seem to be a bit flimsy for that much weight, and I'm not sure I'd trust the cable either. The hooks are a bit small, but should be adequate for lighter duty applications. For a DIYer like myself that is typically working alone and just needs something to hold an item in place, this should work for you as well. I just wouldn't consider this for a heavy duty job. My Star Rating Scale: 5 stars - Perfect, or as close to perfect as possible and would definitely recommend to anyone. 4 stars - Works well, but could see some minor changes that could make the product better. Would recommend to others. 3 stars - Functional, but areas of concern or major changes that could make the product better. Recommend researching other options. This Come Along is heavy and appears well made. I do wish the paw spring was easier to operate but it is pretty typical for most come alongs. It arrived quickly and in good working order. The included steel cable and latching hooks will make hookup easier and secure. I have several fruit trees, grape vines, bushes that need constant care to either stake up or replace and this will come in handy to pull them upright or out as needed. ... show more
