I did massive amounts of research and shopping before buying this particular bike, and I'll start by saying this brand is far and away the best value in its price range if that's what your after. My wife has a 350w class 1 huffy, and this feels SO MUCH more powerful, the throttle only mode is awesome, I love it. It's everything I wanted at a price point that made it pretty easily obtainable. 4 stars only because, as others have said, the seat definitely leaves something to be desired. I've only ridden for about 5 miles and the seat is just not comfortable and somewhat painful lol. And I'm a normal size guy, 5"11, 170lbs, so it's not like I've got a whole lot of butt to support. All in all, however, an excellent e-bike, especially at the price point, and I am very satisfied with my purchase. Assembly was quick and easy, the controls are intuitive, and its just fun as hell to ride! Edit 11/5: Changed to 5 stars. My front brake caliper disintegrated at some point, I didn't realize that it had happened until I went to adjust my front brakes because they hadn't been working and the back half of it had left the chat. I emailed them about this and they provided me another disc and caliper free of charge and pretty quickly, I'm very happy with that experience. But I changed my review because as others have said, during this exchange I also brought up the discomfort of the seat and they provided me with 20 dollars for a replacement. Solid, solid customer service. ESPECIALLY for a Chinese company servicing the u.s., I don't mean that in the wrong ways, it's just so easy for them to shtup us after we've completed a purchase and it's happened quite a bit in my own experiences so I really want to highlight and commend the customer service team here, they're doing great work! All of that being said, after a few months of my wife and I both owning this same bike now, I stand by my initial assessment. They are overall very high quality, durable, easy to use, fun to use, simple to assemble, I really can't think of a single negative thing to say about these bikes or the company that makes them. If your still for whatever reason on the fence about this bike or I'd even venture to say any of this company's products, it is definitely the one to get. ... show more

Update 2 (5 stars): Seller issued the refund; I purchased a replacement through them and it works as expected. I was originally only going to go up to 4 stars, but given what others have said about contacting either Amazon or the sellers and what a pain that could be, I decided that even with the initial defective bike, the fact that I now have a working one, their quick responses, and offer to make it right is actually great customer service. A note on the bike itself: expect to buy a new seat. The one it comes with is uncomfortable. Update 1 (3 stars): Contacted support. Originally I reached out to Ancheer directly, but they informed me I had to contact the Amazon seller. I explained the situation and they were quick to respond. They issued me a return label and offered a discount if I re-purchased. If all goes well with that return/refund process I'll update the rating further. As I said previously, the bike itself is a great value IMO; so I have no problems recommending it. We were going on vacation and had hoped to have the 2nd bike in time, so that was disappointing. Previous (1 star): This was our second Ancheer. The first works great; assembly was fine. No missing parts or overly confusing steps. Our 2nd Ancheer came in and as soon as I opened the box I knew something was off. The tools (Allen wrenches, screwdriver, etc) they provide tumbled out onto the floor. The bike comes in a big box with 2 smaller boxes in it. The battery/charger in one; tools, pedals, kickstand, and other items in the second. The tools fell out and the other items had clearly been opened. If that was not evidence enough, there was blue painters tape closing the box instead of (or in addition to) the normal packaging tape. And if that's not enough proof, the tire tread had dirt in it and signs of wear, the bike seat post was severely scratched up, and (having assembled a previous bike) I knew some of it had already been assembled (the disc brake was already mounted for instance). The pedals have a "L" or "R" sticker on them and the "L" was scuffed off. Whatever. The other Ancheer we have works fine, so I continued with assembly. Get it all put together, hook up the (charged) battery and I'm greeted with E003 error code. Of course the manual doesn't tell you how to troubleshoot, so had to google it. "Check all the wire connections". OK, did that. Unplugged and reconnected everything I could. Turned battery off and on. Nothing. Swapped batteries with my working Ancheer. Nothing. So they shipped me a previously returned (probably because it was defective) item without apparently checking to make sure it worked. I'd honestly have forgiven the "lightly used" bit, but it's essentially just a super heavy mountain bike at this point. ... show more
