PROS: I really like all the options for adjustments (height, tilt, lumbar, seat depth, arms) which makes it easier for multiple people to use, it's very comfortable both the seat and the back, it rolls smoothly and quietly across plank flooring, and the color is great. CONS: It was easy to assemble except for pushing back of the chair down onto the seat part, I couldn't get it all the way down but it's close enough. Appears to have been used - some dirty spots on side of arm and bottom of seat along with some wheel scratches, and there is a small rip on the fabric of the chair back. Not necessarily the product itself but delivery wasn't as careful as it should have been, some of the padding was already off upon opening. SUGGESTIONS: Would be great if the rotation and sliding options for the armrest locked in place. Also if the tilt locked in place too, I'm on the smaller side and it takes a bit of effort to tilt. While I understand that people return products that they don't like and it's still in great condition, perhaps have it looked over for rips, scratches, and wipe any dirty spots before reselling. OVERALL: I haven't been using it long but as of right now it's a good chair and I would recommend purchasing. (I didn't buy the one with the headrest, but as someone with terrible posture I find myself naturally tilting my neck/head forward, perhaps a headrest would help with being aware of neck/head position) ... show more

I needed a work-from-home chair (+gaming on the weekends) that could ergonomically & comfortably get me through 4+ hours straight of sitting. While at work, I'm used to sitting on a Steelcase Leap V2 chair (which is a 5 star in the $500-$1000 range for comparison), I knew I personally could only afford <$500 (<$300 ideally) so this CLATINA nailed the price-point. By dropping to this price-point, I was well aware that I would have to sacrifice major features, though I searched in hopes of finding a chair that would minimize my sacrifice... and I believe I found an excellent option! [For reference, I am 5'8" with relatively short leg to torso ratio] FIRST, I'll list the features of high-end ergonomic office chairs included (with their caveats): + Fairly thick cushioned seat (a little stiff, no anatomical 'sculpting') + 'Waterfall' cushion design by knees to prevent circulation cut-off + Sliding seat for adjustable depth (not designed well to be as useful compared to high end chairs, which have a deeper seat length to accommodate the sliding forward. With the CLATINA, the seat depth is shorter and I imagine for those with longer legs, their butts would begin to "fall off" the back of the seat when the seat's fully slid forward. It's perfectly in range for me) + Lumbar support using ~1 in of dense foam (I've got it set at it's highest setting and it hits me just right. It can go lower, but not higher, which I imagine more useful for those taller than I am) + Adjustable seat height (it can go plenty tall, though I'm at its lowest setting and it's barely perfect. I really could go ~0.5" lower, and I imagine those shorter than I am would not be able to get their feet flat on the ground. Most chairs can't really go this short, which is why buying an elevated foot rest is an option for shorter folks) + Extreme tilt back angle; I can nearly lay down flat! (however, no compensating seat angle tilt) + Adjustable seat tilt tension + Adjustable seat tilt stopping angle + Arm rests have in-out adjustment option (which was really important to me) + Arm rests are height adjustable (I’m at the highest setting and it’s just perfect. Again, I’d imagine someone taller may need a little more height rather than being able to go really low… though when adjusted to the lowest setting, the chair is able to slide under desks!) SECOND, I’ll list the features sacrificed (that weren’t already discussed within my caveats): - Arm rests do not adjust back-forward. Unfortunately as a result, my hands to not fully clear the arm rest so that I cannot type, etc without the arm rest half getting in the way. To compensate, I have to lean my upper body slightly forward or move my arms forward (which deviates from ideal ergonomic body positioning) - Arm rests not cushioned. - Seat cushioning does not compare to higher end chairs. (It’s a big step up relative to my previous ~$100 home office chair, but I don’t expect miracles) - Seat backing is fine, but not amazing. It may stretch out over time and become less supportive - I received no assembly instructions (though a decent User Manual) THIRD, packaging and shipment + Box was branded and constructed well + All parts came packaged VERY nicely, separated as star base, seat (with arm rests attached), seat back, and pneumatic seat post. Hex wrench and 2 bolts (plus extras) can included. All that considered, it was very easy to assemble without instructions. + My chair arrived VERY quickly, faster than estimated delivery times. I'm exceedingly grateful. In summary, this chair satisfied most of my ergonomic needs and I believe its construction will last me many years. At this price point, it’s a definite 5 star. If some of the caveats and missing features I listed are required for you, then I truly believe you’ll have to pay more for a different chair (though hopefully not too much more!). ... show more

The Good: The overall design of the chair is great. I just received it today so I don’t have a long term usage opinion but initial thoughts are that the back and seat are very supportive and the adjustments the chair offers are exactly what I was looking for. Assembly of the chair was very simple and I was using it within minutes of receiving it. The Bad: Damage. Seat back has two holes on one of the top corners and the seat frame has visible scratches in the paint finish. It’s not a deal breaker but it’s disappointing that a new chair would have these clear defects (see images) Overall: looking past the quality control issues, I think I’ll be happy with this chair. ... show more

Wonderful chair for the price. I love the adjustability and locking features. Only two complaints, 1) the seat is a little short if you have longer femurs, and 2) It could use a headrest, but that can be purchased separately.

The chair is decent quality and assembles easily My primary complaint is that the seat depth is not adequate. If you are an average size male, you get to choose between having the front of the seat ending at your mid-thigh, or having your rear-end hang off the back of the seat (it can slide back and forth). Everything else is normally proportioned, but the seat itself is the size of a middle-schooler's seat. The chair also does not rock, but rather has a lean-back feature that feels awkward (seat stays flat). It does not advertise rocking however, so I have not penalized it for lacking that feature. ... show more

I was skeptical about ordering a chair on line only because I preferred to sit in it and couldn't but I wasn't totally impressed with any chair I sat in at different stores so after reading many Amazon reviews and watching YouTube videos I decided to give this chair a try. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The seat cushion is on the firmer side but it's a comfortable firm. I was able to adjust the seat height and arm rests to fit not only my body but also the chair arm to slide under my desk top, I'm a petite 5 foot 1" woman so I like to pull in close to my desk. Customer service is 5 star, they responded promptly to my questions on two occasions and my head rest not being delivered at the same time as my chair. I assembled it myself in minutes, it's comfortable and it looks great! I highly recommend this chair and company! ... show more
