My ends are a bit darker than my roots so it came out like a black cherry and I absolutely love it!     I love this haircolor! It covers my grey and my naturally dark hair. The payoff is amazing and it lasts at least 4 weeks before I have to reapply. There is some dulling at that point, but it is mainly to cover up the new greys that have grown through.

    I've used this color in the past, and it seemed more vibrant then, though, maybe I left the color on longer then. I do love the way my hair feels, and they color is so shiny and beautiful outside in the sun. I wish the gray coverage was better. If you have any hint of gray, the gray will appear a bit metallic, but then again, anyone with grays knows those hairs will not absorb as well as healthy, younger hair. I have never been unhappy with Natural Instinct hair colors. ... show more

    Color: Copper I put this color over dark blonde hair. The color came out just as advertised on the box. It’s very bright & vibrant. Unfortunately, the color mostly came out after a couple of washes. I have a photo I posted of my hair after the two washes. I didn’t have time to take a photo of my hair right after it was done. Overall, the color is beautiful and the dye doesn’t seem to do much damage to the hair. However, the color doesn’t last long. I’ve used Demi dye hair dyes that were less temporary. But, if you want to have this color for about a week(or less) then I would order it! ... show more

    this color really LASTS. it was incredibly difficult to get out of my hair (It faded after a few months but I had to dye over what was left). worth the purchase if you want to have a long term hair dye. I was not expecting it to be as orange as it was the first month and a half after I dyed it.

    This stuff stained my scalp and hairline so bad that I can't even go out in public. I followed the instructions to the letter, and I've been using similar colors by different brands for years but this is the worst experience I've ever had. I shampooed aggressively TWICE after rinsing and I scrubbed and scrubbed and I can't get the stains off my skin and scalp! And the color itself looks ridiculous! It's neon orange! I naturally have brown/red/copper mixed hair, my dad is a natural full ginger, my brother is a natural full ginger, normally red hues look very natural with my skin tone and hair type. But not this. Hopefully the stains will come off and the color will relax a bit after a few washes with scalding hot water. I wouldn't even go out in public if it didn't stain my skin. It just screams "I did an amateur at-home hair dye with a blindfold on while drunk!" So unless you want to look like you poured an orange Kool-Aid packet in your hair and squirted a little water on it and said "Cool! I look like a 1975 punk rocker with overspray," DO NOT BUY!
