The fan is a unique design from your standard Home Depot fan. It is quiet and moves air well. Two things to be aware of... one, it is only 50" blade tip to blade tip. I knew the box was too small! Two, the housing may counter spin at first. The instructions are not great (just pictures). After mounting, the housing would spin when it turns on. I opened a support ticket and they responded in a little more than a day. However, the spin problem fixed itself and just stopped. It is now a month old and running well. When I say this fan is quiet, I mean it! And even in a lower speed, it really puts out air. Love the three temperatures on the light too. I have this on my lanai, and it really helps in Florida heat. Wish I could afford to replace all of my ceiling fans with this one!
