This one didnt have the ac side relay on off... easy to change it from one unit to the other 2 wires N 2 screws only took 3 hours to install it from the outside and some work inside. Every ting fired up first try working great Note - you can install a 20 year warrant POWERED ANODE rod in these tanks. • Perfect replacement
I had an rv hot water heater that needed to be replaced due to erosion. I got this one and it works perfectly. Even hotter water than my previous one and quick shipping. Super satisfied!

  • Easy direct replacement
Installed this one to replace the exact same model that was 16 years old. Installation was very straight forward; just re-installed exactly as the old one came out. Like many other comments I read here, I found the installation instructions are pretty useless. Unit does not come with a door, and I had to buy about $70.00 worth of hardware as the original Tiffin hardware was unusable. I also decided to go with flex water feed lines for easier installation over the PEX which added cost. There was a problem starting the gas initially as it sparked but wouldn't light. I lit the stove to clear air out the line and could easily then smell gas, but still wouldn't light- until the gas flashed in my face. I traced the problem to a Mis installed ignitor that was grounding to the venturi rather than the other ignitor probe. It was easy to re-center it in the venturi and it then fired up immediately. Hope to get many years of use of of it. ... show more

  • Heats well with LP or electric.
Pro- hot water with LP or electric or both at the same time. Both works well separate. Heating with electric seam slightly slower. Used for about two months and no complaints at this time. It was very easy to install. Hope it works as well for you as it has me.

  • Replaced 10G Atwood - zero complaints
Very happy customer here! 2 day shipping, super good price, and fully functional. I bought a “slightly used” model and it was new in box, tape still on it. The box was just old and beat up, you could tell this thing got lost in a warehouse. Not complaining - the box is trash, just mentioning it is to be expected if you’re saving hundreds of dollars. Same dimensions and similar wiring/plumbing as my 10 gallon Atwood gas/electric. Skills required: - basic knowledge of wiring diagrams - gas plumbing - water plumbing - rough carpentry - caulking with masking tape I am a experienced mechanic, and it took me about 5 hours from start to finish. That said, I did read the manual online before it arrived and picked up new fittings and adapters at Ace. If you hire a mechanic to change it, they will likely charge you two days of labor and that is fair. ***There is a on/off toggle switch on the outside panel. Ensure it is set to off until you have water in the tank, you risk burning out your heating element otherwise*** Just take the time to read through the instructions. • Perfect fit & was delivered quickly!
Haven’t fired it up yet but it was identical to the 19 year old Suburban 10 that I removed. In fact it has a sticker showing that it is made by them, so everything matched right up and was able to use the original door. Just throwing that out there because they do not come with a door kit.

  • Rv water heater
This water heater was perfect for my 2007 Montana. It was relatively easy to install. The hardest part was getting the existing dowels off the old hot water heater and it works great. Highly recommend this for replacement. It’s exactly the same style model from my Rv my last one lasted 16 years.

  • Disappointing and leaking
The media could not be loaded. So let me give you the lowdown the description is 9.99 in on everything well that's a lie and that's because they use that to be able to ship it USPS making it to where you'll have to go pick this unit up it will not be delivered to you so that is falsely advertised there. And well I had expedited shipping on this and it took five days three days past what it said it was going to be. And well after taking off work early getting it installed and turning the water on realize that the weld around the tpr or the trp whatever you want to call it has a crack and was leaking from factory. Now I get to uninstall it package it take it down to FedEx send it back and wait two weeks for my return or replacement. Meanwhile I have not had hot water for one week and now it will be 3 weeks by the time I get the new one installed. Please if you buy one of these units pressure check it before you install it because obviously they don't the second this unit was filled with water it started leaking like a siv evident that it was not tested at all. I'm very frustrated because today we find ourselves paying more money for things and getting less quality is all I'm asking for is a unit that can at least make it to years if not at least one. But to literally unpackage an item professionally install it and turn it on just to see that it weld was cracked is pretty pathetic to me the fact that this item was shipped to me and for me to find out in this manner is a little bit ridiculous. Please pressure check this unit if you buy it before installing it it will save you countless of dollars and endless headaches and phone calls. I asked for a return and they said I had to send the old unit in order to get my return I plainly told them that I would put a 500 Smith & Wesson round through this unit on video if they could send me immediately. I guess you get what you pay for, and today you don't get much ... show more
