  • worked perfect
this went right in. Just a little info about this element, I replaced the element in a 6 gallon water heater on my travel trailer. The pic's I posted show the new and old Elements and a rod I used to measure the depth of the water heater. As You can see the new Element is longer than the old one BUT the rod is how deep the tank is so the longer Element is no problem in the tank. I know there are many questions about the longer Element but the longer one works great. Also, This Element takes a 1 1/2 inch THIN WALL socket to remove and install. You also have to move the gas line to get to the Element. This is a easy fix, just remember to unplug the trailer, turn off the breaker and release the water pressure before working on it. I think this covers the project so good luck and be safe. ... show more

  • Works
It makes water hot 🔥 lol but seriously this worked for me I have a 10 gallon tank looks original to the unit (a1999 motorhome) It was an exact match to the one I removed some said the length was different but not for mine I think mine would have been fine with a longer one too plenty of room. So far it's all good been in a week and left on 24/7 so happy! No more turning on the gas and waiting for it to heat then turning it off before it basicallyexploded water outside (can't get the thermostat to work on the propane side so it boils over and still doesnt shut off ) ... show more

  • Nice fit and perfect operation! Universal Suburban water heater electric element.
Perfect fit and operation... Works as it should! Used along with new ECO and Tstat as well as ECO/Tstat cover that was damaged from age. If you have a Suburban water heater, this is the heating element for you. Universal fit for most all Suburban heaters with 120 volt option. First check the ECO/Tstat limit switches to verify continuity before continuing on to the element. In my case, the heating element had shorted at the bend and was causing the 20 amp120 volt coach circuit breaker to blow before the ECO connection wire fried too. ... show more

  • Travel Trailer water heater replacement
Worked perfectly to replace the current element in my travel trailer's Suburban water heater. Is slightly longer but it fits without touching the other side of the water heater and heated up without any issues. We had to replace our old one after accidentally turning on the water heater without any water in it. Lesson learned. Used the Camco 11655 Anode/Element Wrench, 10-Inch with Dual Hex Ends to remove old element. ... show more

  • You need the special tool to remove old one and install this one
Mine was cracked and destroyed the breaker. You must have a special tool ( ONENESS 369 Dual Hex Water Heater Element & Anode Rod Socket Wrench Removal Tool) to change this. Remove the Anode first and open a hot water faucet to drain the tank. Then remove the gas mixer tube and plastic cover to gain access to the heater rod. It was a lot easier than it looked. No need to remove the gas regulator if you just break 3rd screw plastic on the heater rod cover. Two screws hold it on well. ... show more

  • Works well
After I installed it, I ran it for about two hours and it didn’t seem to work as well as the original. Thinking that it just needed to be run longer, we took it camping. We ran it for a week straight. In the first day of running it, when it came time to shower, the water was very hot. This element worked very well for the entire week. I highly recommended this product. ... show more

  • Works!
Replaced a burned out element with this unit and it works. Identical to the part I removed which was actually the 520789. I bought the Camco water heater wrench with this but that did not work out, too short and too loose fitting to get the torque needed to remove the old element. I ended up using a 1 1/2" socket on a breaker bar to get the job done. ... show more

  • Great replacement for faulty heating element!
No instructions come with this element but its super easy to replace, watch a few YouTube videos and you're all set. This went in fairly easy with the tool you can grab here on amazon, just makes use you have some Teflon tape on hand when you do the replacement. I installed this in a suburban 6 gallon rv water heater and it was a direct replacement. It works great and I assume it should for a few years. When you do this job replace the annode rod also as it will help keep the element in tip top shape. Happy camping! ... show more
