I wish I had bought one of these a long time ago, very straight forward and easy to install. Is a very good addition to my RV, fast consistent never ending hot water, only time will tell how conservative it will be with propane as the old 6 gallon water heater was very consuming of propane and a real pain to deal with. One does need to pay attention to whether or not they will need the over size door for their applications, as I did need the oversize door for my application.     • Greatest Camping Upgrade Ever!
My 6 gallon old school hot water heater died and I was irritated that I had to put money out and they’re not cheap. I saw this tankless unit and I liked what I was reading. The installation was super easy. A lot easier than getting the old unit out. Here’s what I really like about it - 1. You set the water thermostat to your desired temperature, so there’s no messing with blending in the cold water. It’s always the perfect temp. And 2. You get unlimited hot water. There’s no waiting between showers or hosing yourself down - shutoff the shower head - soap up- turn on to rinse- etc. it’s unlimited instant hot water set to your desired temperature. It really is glorious. …and it looks cool which is stupid but it’s a plus. ... show more

I have a 2018 keystone ultralight..I received my water heater and I installed the unit myself having to cut the hole larger but the door I purchased to go with my trailer worked beautifully! The unit looks good. I plumbed it accurately hooked up the water supply as well as the gas. I had a professional do the electric. The unit never turned on, so we figured it was the controller...the company "approved a new controller to be sent and it took another week...mind you I live in my trailer so it's cold showers for a week. Received controller on a Friday and it still did not work...so now I'm gonna have to wait til Monday to call and get the mother board replaced! It's annoying after paying $616 for this change that I didn't really have to do...wish I just kept my tank water heater. I received the motherboard and replaced it and after calling Glen with Fagotti tech support was able to get the unit working ...it's only been a day but so far so good. ... show more

Install was only complicated due to the reduction in size compared to the old tank heater. Had to replumb, which was not a huge deal to do with pex. Water heater was comparable in frame size to old unit on my 06 salem. Minor sanding was needed for fitment. Quality of construction seems good, besides the janky door latch that seems loose. I will say that I am docking 1 star due to inconsistent water temperature. Water never stays a single temp and fluctuates frequently while showering, but it's never an extreme fluctuation to the point of burning or freezing. I will say, if you get an e1 fail code upon start up, try lighting your stove. You will find that the gas line needs to be bled in order to get gas to the unit. Quickest way is to turn on your stove and let the air bleed out through that. Once it actually lights, air should be mostly bled out and you should be good to try the hot water again. Overall, it's a HUGE upgrade over the old 6 gallon tank heater and we enjoy normal length showers! ... show more

    • Hot Water Fails in Cold Weather, can't shower water turns ice cold

Update: Fogatti reached out to me shortly after I posted this review, offering to exchange the unit if I covered the shipping costs. I responded, agreeing to pay for shipping, but asked for clarification on what the replacement would be—whether it would be the same unit or an upgraded version. Since shipping costs are involved, I wanted to ensure the exchange would address the issue rather than result in the same outcome. Unfortunately, despite following up with a second message, I have not received any response from Fogatti, I guess they thought I would not agree to pay for shipping and made the offer to appear to want to help or the unit they wanted to replace it with would have the same problem. Nice.... Additionally, I have received no communication from Amazon regarding this matter, and the product listing still fails to reflect the identified shortcomings. Original Review: We initially installed this unit in warm weather, and everything seemed fine. Hot showers were enjoyable—no complaints. But as soon as winter hit, this water heater turned into a complete nightmare. Just two minutes into a shower, right after lathering shampoo into my hair, the hot water abruptly stopped, and the unit started beeping with an "E8" error code. I had to turn off the shower, wait a few minutes, and try again. Warm water returned briefly, giving me hope. But as soon as I started rinsing off, the hot water failed *again*. Same error code. I was forced to endure a freezing 50-degree shower just to finish. I contacted Fogatti support, and after trying several suggested setting adjustments—all of which failed—they delivered an unbelievable excuse: the water heater doesn't work properly in cold weather. Yes, you read that right—an RV water heater that *cannot function in the cold*! It was only 45 degrees outside. At first, I thought this must be some kind of joke. It wasn’t. This was their final explanation. So now, I’m stuck with an overpriced water heater that only works when the weather is warm. To make matters worse, when I asked why this critical limitation wasn’t disclosed in their Amazon listing, I received *no response*. It’s blatantly misleading to advertise a product this way, and I’ve since contacted Amazon to see if they offer any consumer protection for such deceptive listings. I will update this review if I receive a response from them. Save yourself the frustration—avoid this product at all costs. It’s unreliable, poorly designed, and supported by a company that doesn’t care. ... show more
