This phone holder worked great in my 2020 VW GTI. I had ordered a WeatherTech but returned it because it didn't work due to the tapered base. My cupholder has four spring-loaded tensioners to retain the drink, but they pushed the WeatherTech unit's taper shape out. This unit has a flat face that expands. You just crank on the top ring as tight as you like. It really stays in there, even with spirited driving! You have a horizontal rotation, angle of the phone cradle, and the actual phone gripper is adjustable. That feature works REALLY well. A button releases it to full extension and then you just lay the phone in the cradle and squeeze it closed as tight as you like. Due to the rubber liners in the cradle, it can be adjusted to hold the phone firmly yet it is easy to slide out. This is the best design I have seen on phone holders for the cradle. The one negative for this phone holder is there is no height adjustment, you either have the short one or the tall one. This is where they need to take a lesson from WeatheTech on their adjustable height feature. ... show more

Fits good in my truck, neck is little short and sometimes the base will loosen abit, but think that's just to me pulling my phone out. The cradle does not interfere with my note 10+, or my galaxy S8 active. And it's cheaper than the floor mat company equivelant. It feels solid and does the job.

This phone cup holder does a great job holding your phone for a great price. The design and functionality of the device has been very well mapped. The phone holder does a great and has added options to accept almost all cell phones. The sides expand at the push of a button and can be closed to firmly hold your phone. The sides have a hidden feature, which allows them to slide vertically to accommodate taller phones. There are two feet that swing out to hold the bottom of your phone. Now for the base of the mount, this is where all the magic happens. The first noticeable part of the base is how narrow it is, and will not be able to fit any cup holder. Upon further inspection there is an adjustment gear at the base of the neck that will expand/contract the size of the base to fist almost any cup holder. There exterior of the base is made of a firm rubber, but soft enough not scratch or mar the surface of the cup holder. The top of the neck is where phone holder attaches, be sure to firmly join them together (others have stated this as a weak point, where the two pieces will slide apart I have not found this to be true). This upper socket offers 360 degrees rotation to fit just the right angle. The lower portion of the neck has a socket that offers 180 degree rotation. If you are tired of suction mounted phones holders that bounce all around and fall off when to hot/cold. Give this one a try, you might even love it more than me! I had a Weather Tech but I added a bulky case and it no longer fit. Weather Tech discontinued their "thick" case holder so I went "shopping" for something else This is fully adjustable both for the cup holder size and the thickness of phone. Easy "in & out". Highly recommended

I was disappointed in the beginning as the box had obviously been used before and was partially destroyed plus there were no instructions with it. I figured it out and once able to actually use it, I was very pleased with its fit and design. It is easy open for enclosing my cell phone in it and the cell phone is easy to detach. I have a BMW Z4 which does not have standard cup holders, just a slide out semi frame for a standard size pop can or water bottle but not an exceptional fit. This item though did fit in it well and my favorite design was where the cup holder was located, on the front of the dash and when open (it pushes in to blend with the dash when not in use) it is centered in the side of the windshield frame so does not obstruct view at al. It does turn to any angle for viewing which is a feature I like. I was concerned about the charging of the cellphone while in this location but my Verizion cord fit from the center of the dash, went across the back of the steering wheel and stayed plugged in without any concerns. I would purchase again as it was very easy to use and flexible in its design. ... show more
