Okay we did catch a couple mice. I also caught my sons foot and my yoga pants so be careful if you need to place them in an area that you walk. Also remember, they catch mice, they don't kill them. You need to be able to do this in a very quick manner as to not cause them pain and suffering. You must also try to take care of this as soon as you know one is stuck on the trap. They will try to get off the trap and if they are stuck by one foot, they have been known to naw it off to get away. Probably would have caught more but our mice are very cocky. They don't scurry along the edges of walls. They strut through our rooms while staring us down. Most people can put these against the edges of walls where they have seen mice. The reason we had ours in travel spaces and got stuck is our mice didn't scurry timidly along the walls. They would strut through the rooms while staring us down. They jumped over snap traps. I think they even danced to the sound coming out of the plug in noise things that they are supposed to hate. I'm not making these things up. I found a piece of macaroni in my slipper and threw it away. A week later I found another piece of macaroni in the same slipper. One actually climbed up on my lap one night while I was in my recliner watching a movie in the dark. I didn't notice him until he stood on his hind legs to sniff the air for what was on the tray across from me. It's like Tom and Jerry here. Nothing works If you have Normal mice these do work. They are a little hard to handle and that's why I took a star away I did catch a mouse with them but only one and there was a lot more around. I just went back to the old Victor traps and killed them all quickly. (those little rascals just can't stay away from the cheddar!) They are very difficult in tight spaces but I think they work well in some spaces. I think the biggest downside is that the mouse is still alive and you have to physically kill it or drown it or whatever. I mean you have to do that job and with the Victor traps they're pretty much instantly dead, you just pick up the trap with no mouse contact and throw it away and the Victor traps are really very inexpensive here on Amazon so don't bother trying to reuse them just throw the whole trap away. I think the Victor traps are the most humane way of having to kill a mouse.... And simple. ... show more

I bought a pack of 4 (different brand) from Home Depot about a year ago and saw the 36 pack on Amazon (great bargain). I folded them into the tent and put some in the garage. I went into my garage yesterday & turned the light on, looked toward the garage door and low and behold I see a rat snake that somehow got inside and got stuck in one of these (head first) and obviously had struggled to try to get out cause the tent was almost all the way open. I am DEATHLY afraid of snakes, so I am extremely happy with this product and will continue to purchase them now (along with snake away). And no, I don't go in my garage everyday. ... show more

Tomorrow will be a week I got these traps. The unit next to us is getting renovated and we started noticing bugs coming over. Luckily not a lot at all, but we got our apartment treated and I put traps everywhere right when getting them. We caught 3 roaches and this huge water bug. It’s very sticky and has a good grip because every one of them tried getting out of it and couldn’t. This trap won’t kill them so I took some diatomaceous earth powder and put it on them so it would kill them. We’re not infested with roaches or bugs so I didn’t expect to catch much considering they aren’t nesting in our apartment as the pest control tech said and didn’t know we had water bugs until we caught one. ... show more

I really hate killing things. But I also hate getting diseases that mice can carry, like umm, the plague! My cats are elderly and very entitled. They have no clue how to actually catch a mouse. They are good at spotting them and letting me know I must do their bidding of killing them for them. Anyway these work just fine. And the areas that you can't put them in box shape I just lay them down flat as long as the cats don't get near that area. I've caught two mice so far. Highly effective if placed in the right settings, make sure you place in areas that see the highest amounts of mice traffic and be sure to fold them . It’s highly unlikely that mice will go darting across the middle of the room so along side of trim board and the narrow openings between counters and furniture are great choices. I used a blink camera to study where they were going, plugged up every hole I could find where they were getting in, and used these everywhere they could take cover in my garage. I encountered a really smart and athletic one once in my house (before I got a cat) that I had to devise an elaborate way they could not get a cracker with peanut butter on it without getting stuck. It worked. It is sad that you have to use cruel methods like this for self-defense... but you do. Be careful about the garage especially. They will climb in the engine and chew wiring. We have spent thousands on repairs from these and squirrels. We simply cannot afford this. These won't work in winter when it gets really cold but there is another kind of glue board you can get that stays sticky in cold temps. I use these in summer because they are less expensive. You get a lot of bugs and have to replace them periodically. Also, you find the occasional lizard and snake in them. That is unfortunate and I hate that. Lizards and snakes are welcome in my garage and they do a good job of harmless non-toxic pest control. ... show more

These traps are a bit better than typical ones in stores. It caught one giant cockroach, I feel safe knowing its not crawling near me. Keep in mind the baited traps have a strong smell that will eventually dissipate in a week or so.
