  • What happened this morning.
Size: 36Count Style: Pest Trap
These work but please use them as a last resort if you have any empathy at all. They can hurt you. I tend to live and let live but after almost 2 thousand dollars work on a new truck that a rat decided was a warm place under the hood to make a home and chew wires I had to declare war on the rodents around our place. It was only self defense. I took three days but my husband and I cleaned out the garage and started parking the newly repaired truck in there. It takes some effort because it's a big truck and a tiny garage but needs must. I knew there was a mouse in there. I had seen her on the security camera I have in there. I started to try to catch her first with the clear plastic humane live traps. I have lived in the country for years and they do almost always work. I check them often, drive out someplace remote, open the end and and shake the mouse out. It's easy and it's safe and it's fun to watch them bound out into the grass so happy after their near-death experience. The mouse in the garage was far too smart for that... no matter what delicious thing I baited them with. She resisted them all. I tried other things. LOTS of other things. I tried gradually more lethal things but no dice. I saw her on the security camera almost nightly. She would have none of it. Finally I resorted to the glue boards. They have always eventually worked although it is heart rending to find the mouse in them, hopelessly mired.. sometimes dead, usually just MOSTLY dead and trying to breathe with the glue blocking their airways. If they aren't too bad off I have gotten them free with vegetable oil and let them go but they always seem damaged and unlikely to survive. Usually, I put them in a grocery bag and kill them with a brick. It upsets me to imagine that some people just throw them away to suffer in what little time they have left in the garbage. I have no dislike of them. They don't mean anyone any harm. They just want someplace warm and something to eat. I'd do the same if I was a mouse and so would you. It looked like this mouse was too smart for this too. Days went by. I checked the glue boards I had put in places I knew a mouse would go. No dice. I was really starting to respect how smart this mouse was. I knew she would want all the things that I baited everything with but she was too careful and brainy to fall for any of it. Then, yesterday I saw her on the security camera running back and fourth under the truck. This was unusual so I went out and found 3 young mice.. just old enough to leave the nest and start exploring, stuck in some of the glue boards. Silly little innocent things looking at me with wide, frightened eyes. They were too mired and damaged to set free. They were also too young. Winter is almost here. I killed them. I considered putting a dead one in the center of a ring of the glue boards I was pretty sure this would work but I decided I could never sink that low so I just replaced the boards with new ones. This morning, I found one more baby in one of the glue traps. Next to it was my nemesis mouse. She had tried to help her last baby and had gotten mired. They were both alive but just barely. Too far gone to try to free. I admit I cried after I dealt with them and threw all the remaining used boards away and replaced them with the plastic humane traps. If I am wrong and there is another baby I will probably catch the silly little thing. And I will make sure it survives one way or another and I will set it free. It is the only thing I can do for her now. I am sure that most people reading this will think I am an idiot but I feel I should do the best I can. You don't have to care as much as I do but at least try the plastic humane traps first and check them every day. They do work and it is good for your karma. ... show more

  • Smart one that was outsmarting all traps with ease finally met it's match.
Size: 72 Pack Style: Pest Trap
This is a great way to catch the uncatchable. Had a couple guests but they met their maker with the good ol snap traps but for a couple of weeks the smart one was dodging every single attempt with ease. This one son of a gun was brazen and would come out whenever it liked and it was infuriating. I had done everything by the book and it still taunted me. Then I read a post on here saying they had a smart one too. And what you have to do is study it's movement and where it likes to go. Then cut these traps so that it's sticky all over and connect them to make a very long trap then put it in whole doorways so they have no option to try and run over it to get into whatever room they stay or love to go to. Make it so they have no options. Once it's hungry it will attempt anything to get to a source of food. Make sure your house is spotless and they must go searching for a food source or explore. These pads are super sticky and honestly what did the trick. I caught it within hours of receiving them I'm the mail. I hope you read this review and you get that aha moment on how to trap. I believe I have found the hole they got in from and patched it. But in case I didn't I will have one long trap set in the sweet spot for the next month or so. There's only one bad thing about this trap, and it's one I had to mentally prepare for. It will be alive when it's caught and it will try everything it can to get out. It's not a pretty sight. If that doesn't bother you then you're good. If that's something that does this isn't the trap for you. This will definitely get the job done, but it's definitely not humane. Once I saw it struggling I killed it immediately. I did not want it to be stuck like that and then suffocate in a bag. If you can, kill it immediately so it doesn't suffer. I hope this helps you catch your unwanted guest or guests. Good luck! ... show more

  • They work!
Size: 36Count Style: Pest Trap
I never write reviews, but the reviews on here really helped me, so I wanted to pay it forward. I recently bought a really old house that I’m going to demo and rebuild. But in the mean time I’m living here. A couple of days ago I heard this scratching noise in my bedroom as I was sleeping. I turned on my light. Saw nothing. Went back to sleep and heard it again. So I turned on my phone flash light and saw a rodent scurry into an access hole in my wall. 😱🤢 so I moved myself out of my room and started sleeping on the couch 😂 My dad had some humane traps he brought over. The thing triggered the traps multiple times and was never caught. I thought it was a mouse so I bought the electrocution trap for mice. Nope didn’t go for that. Turns out it was a rat! I ordered these glue traps, but eventually it ventured into my bathroom. I trapped it in there until these glue traps arrived last night at 8pm. I threw a bunch of the glue traps all over the bathroom floor, closed the door and went to go sleep on the couch. Woke up this morning not expecting it to have worked, but it did! I feel bad, I do wish I could have caught it another way but I am a severe germaphob and could barely get myself to dispose of it after. But I can’t risk it multiplying or bringing in disease. They do have this terrible, artificial smell that made me very nauseous but hey they work. No complaints here. Based on the reviews I read, they seem to work better if laid flat vs folded into a box ... show more

  • Worked for killing our Apartment mouse
Size: 36Count Style: Pest Trap
Recently moved into an apartment in a major urban city with a rodent problem. One day on our Ring camera we noticed a mouse in the kitchen area about 2 weeks ago. We freaked out and could not sleep or cook in peace anymore. We panicked and bought bait stations from TOMCAT from home depot. Sadly, those did not work as we would still see this little creature at night. We went to amazon to find glue traps as many told us to look into it. We were instructed by an exterminator on the phone to use about a thumb size peanut butter on these glue traps. We placed 2 traps in each area of the apartment. Within 24 hours, we got results!! the traps worked and we had all holes and openings patched by maintenance. Check your holes behind all appliances and mainly under your kitchen sink. ... show more
