    • A Quality Product. Worked well on 2015 Subaru Forester
This unit attaches firmly and securely to the center console vent of my older Subaru Forester. It also holds the phone securely and it is easy to get the phone in and out of the cradle. The element that slides between the louvers is in the form of a little hook that hooks on the back side of the louver so, once installed, the mount will not fall out unless the louver breaks. You can also easily position the phone to any angle. There is a notch on the bottom of the cradle so you can connect a power cord and still keep the phone in the cradle. The cradle is deep enough to accomodate thin items like a pouch for two or three credit cards stuck to the back of the phone. Thicker things on the phone - like a pop socket - will make it hard to lock the phone into the cradle. I also got an email from the seller offering to resolve any install issues I had. I had no issues but, it was nice to know the seller cared about customer satisfaction and was not just someone pushing shoddy junk made offshore on to an unsuspecting Amazon curstomer base. All that said, I believe ANY vent mounted phone holder will have the following issues: 1)Attaching something to the vent louvers will limit the range of motion of the louvers. For my Subaru there is a seperate dial that shuts off the air flow from the louvers no matter what position the louvers are in. In other cars the air shit off feature is connected the the louver motion so, you might be stuck with the vent staying open or staying shut. 2)Many louvers are thin and flexible and not really designed to hold a big load. If your louvers look especially delicate this might not be the right unit for you. 3)Louvers are flexible so vent-mounted attachment will never be perfectly rigid. I installed mine away from the middle of the louver and close the place where the louver attaches to the vent housing. This is where the louver flexes the least. The attachment is secure but, if I were doing some real rugged off-roading I'd probably put my phone back in my pocket. ... show more

    • Finally a hassle free phone holder for the car!!!
This holds onto my phone perfectly and releases so easily! It kind of clamps around the entire vent slot and then you tighten it with the knob which is great because it holds on and is very sturdy and doesn't move at all. I've had it about a month now and I am so happy I found it....much better than the last one I had that just clamped onto the slat onto the AC vent...it came off every time I even tried to adjust my phone or take it off of the apparatus. Highly recommend this product! Very sturdy and you can position your phone any way you like and it doesn't come off of the vent. It also is super easy to insert the phone and just a small push of the button to release ..... no more hassle!!! ... show more

I switched to a larger phone and needed a new car mount for my 2015 Subaru Forester. I went with the Rorhxia Car Vent Phone Mount because my last mount used suction on the dashboard and tended to lose suction over time. Overall the Rorhxia Phone Mount is sturdy, expands to fit my Galaxy 14, and provides me with more options for handy placement by using the air vent. What's important to me with the placement was being able to see my dashboard screen behind the phone as well as having it closer to the steering wheel to manipulate the phone and read GPS easily. The vent hooking mechanism allows for easy installation however, it did not allow me to cinch down low enough to keep my phone from bobbing while driving. My solution was to add a rectangular backer made from my old iPhone case about a 1/2" longer than the vent brace that expanded the attachment gripping force. I added neoprene to the backer for more cushioning, drilled a hole in the center for the vent attachment, and then latched it onto my vent fins. It dramatically reduced the bobbing and allowed me to have the phone within easy reach to use my GPS while driving. A great device with a little ingenuity! ... show more

    • It works!
I have a Prius and I don't have a lot of space on my vents to hook it. I'm also not the type of person to read instructions. After I read the instructions and played with it a bit to see how it connected, it worked well. I ended up moving it to my left side, near the window. I originally had it hooked to the vent in the center of the car but it was in the way of my car controls and it was annoying. Finally, a few days ago, I moved it to the door side, and it's a lot better. It seems pretty secure overall. It mounts a few inches over the vent. I am not sure how this will work if I need to defrost the car, but we shall see. It is not blocking the vent, just in front of it, but I knew that when I bought it. It feels secure, even with my big heavy phone and it is easy to attach and detach the phone. The review items list suction power and adhesion. There is no suction and no adhesion. It's a clip that has a plastic knob that you twist until it is tight. The hook goes around the vent and tightens there to hold it on. ... show more

I have this phone holder since October 2023. Very easy to instal, sturdy, and has the convenience to select diferent angles and posititions to adjust the phone screen. Easy to put the phone in and to remove it. It is so good that I bought 2.

    • It is a clap, not a suction or adhesion model
It works fine. Phone bounces quite a bit in the apparatus but works. it does take up most of your vent so getting heat or AC out of the one you are using is challenging. Not a bad purchase all and all.

It took me a while to hook the mount to the car’s vents. The first few times it seemed secure and then flopped over. But, after a couple of tries, it’s now secure. The tightening mechanism works well and the phone seems secure in the older. It’s easy to attach and detach the phone.
