Edit: April 13, they offered to replace it for free and I don’t even have to send the broken one back so I’d say this issue was swiftly resolved, thank you to the seller. Ratcheting wrench and the jack both stripped and broke after 3 uses on a Mini Cooper. So not a heavy car by any means and it doesn’t take an engineer to know how to jack up a car so I don’t believe it was user error. You get what you pay for I guess. ... show more

Bought this to be an emergency jack for my new Tesla that I got in December. Today was its day to shine! I got a flat on the way to work. I thought, great I’m prepared for this! Got out my Jack and started to lift the car so I could patch the tire. Then bang, one of the side ears literally just failed and bent leaving my car precariously held up by a broken jack. I carefully reversed and lowered the car to the ground. The took these pictures. Maybe this is a 500 lb jack?? But no where near 2000 lbs. this was just one corner of a passenger car, and the base version too. Just rear wheel drive and small battery. Probably too late to get my money back. ... show more

I purchased this for a 2003 civic. The civic is a light weight vehicle and was no a strain on the operation of the jack. Not sure if I would use this on a very heavy vehicle.
