This camp stove is a great design & well made. However, I cannot give a product 5 stars when it comes out of the box coated with a blue plastic film, on every surface, even the hinges! At first glance, I thought it would just peel off easily in one piece on each side. I spent over an hour, tediously peeling, picking & pulling that mess off! I ended up with scratched & bleeding fingers, too. If I ever see this film on another product, it will be returned immediately! I understand the intended purpose of this plastic film was to keep the metal from getting scratched in shipping & packing, but why on earth have that on the hinges? Why have it tucked into seams and crevices? Why have it smashed between tabs? Sure, those leftover bits of plastic would burn off, but who wants to add those toxic fumes to the air, or get it in the food you are cooking? I'd rather have a few scratches on the metal, instead of having to go through all this. Can you imagine if someone received this item as a gift? The recipient would think you hated them or were playing a sick joke. Furthermore, since there were no instruction included, someone might think it was a painted on coating and try to use the stove without removing this film. Can you imagine the mess that would make on & in the stove, plus the toxic smoke? ... show more

This unit had a great price I was very pleased with how easy it was to use. When I began to assemble it for the first time I realized the bottom tray would not go in. In the second picture you can see where it is not folded correctly on one side. So I just use that stainless steel panel for a mirror. I started a small fire and after getting a few coals, I loaded them into the stove and began adding small branches. I had more than enough fire to cook a small meal for supper, as well as my breakfast the next morning using the same technique. It fits nicely into the bag provided and packs very well. The unit itself is exactly what you'd expect viewing videos on the product. It meets expectations. It comes with a tight cling blue protective coating that is hard to get off. Cut myself a couple of times on sharp edges.
