When the product originally shipped, we didn’t realize the insert and mantel were two separate boxes, so we got to our beach home to find out we didn’t have everything and needed to bring it back home to return. Amazon had it corrected in a few days by resending the entire order, we just had to tape the box and take to UPS to return the insert. Our beach home is actually a small trailer and this is the perfect size and output for the limited space. I just love the way it looks in the room and very happy with it. Super pleased with this electric heater. The mantle is very sturdy and solid. The installation instructions were so thorough that it was a one person job. Once turned on, the insert is quite lovely. Gives the appearance of flickering flames. What I really love is if you don't want heat, just ambience, turn on the flame without heat and you're all set. Once you're ready to warm up, this unit is extremely effective at heating up the room. Love that I can save money by only heating up the room I'm in and not the whole house. And there's a lovely mantle for little knick knacks. I have 4 dogs and because it's so sturdy there is absolutely no concern that it be knocked over. Very happy! ... show more

We put the cabinet together and it is beautiful. Sadly, the fireplace unit is the wrong size. Even when the fireplace unit is all the way forward in the cabinet, it’s hanging out the back by several inches. We can’t just shove it up against the wall because it will block the vents on the back of the heater insert. Ugh. ... show more

Though both the cabinet and fireplace are made in China I was impressed by their quality. The cabinet is designed to be sturdy and the fire looks very real. The cabinet is fairly easy to assemble and requires only a Phillips screw driver. One caution don't tighten the twist lock fasteners to much, just snug. Fortunately the hardware package has extras of everything. The unit was packed very well in double heavy boxes and lots of Styrofoam and each piece wrapped in protective covering. Easy to put together, it didn’t take me long. I’m actually surprised on the product since the views were everywhere. Read the size before you buy. I have a great big one in my room brought only because I didn’t read the size. I love that one also.
