In a household with toddlers that give no mind to the back-door they left wide open as they frolic carelessly in the warmth of the summer sun, the ever-annoying black fly swarm finds its way inside our home. First; i have owned 3-5 of every version made, so i consider myself an authority on the product. This version(3.0) is far and away the best. It should have its own Visa commercial🤭! Flies in your butter, $5. Wasp in your bedroom, sour shoulder for two days. BugAsalt gun $50. Watching a mosquito that just bit you be folded up, mid flight, whilst making his escape...PRICELESS!😎. This version, using the 2lb, heavy grain, "tactical salt" has now taken out every insect i've shot, up to a red hornet. The hornet was up close, full mag, on a window, maybe 18" away, so be careful. As a card carrying member of the American Redneck Society(ARS), i highly recommend this product, and would love to become a "compensated endorser".🥸 ... show more

This looks like a fun gag toy. It is also the best fly eliminator you will ever own! Amazing efficiency at getting flies, easily over 90%. Regardless of where they land. Fly swatters are limited to flies on open, flat surfaces. BUG-A-SALT doesn't care where they land. Highly recommend the laser sight device. We calibrated at 2' and rarely miss at that range. We bought the salt ammo also, very convenient and effective. Careful where you shoot, it's not a kids toy. Update: we got our first wasp inside the house. First shot brought it down.     • Gets used a lot
We love having fresh air coming in from open windows and doors, but the flys still manage to get in the house despite having screens. My wife and daughter all love using this to get rid of the flys, spiders and mosquitos. Its also very entertaining lol. Easy to use, fits the hands well, looks intimidating to bugs, we love the safety on the trigger and it seems to have plenty of power. The weight is not too heavy.     • Great salt gun for my 9 year old.
Bought this salt gun for my 9 year old when we go camping, and it was a great hit. Easy to load the salt by himself, and the salt does not hurt if it accidentally hits a persons legs. Let’s just say my husband tried it to make sure no one was going to get hurt if the salt hit them. My son has really enjoyed playing with this trying to get bugs around the campground! Honestly, this thing is awesome! My husband has bought this for like 4 of our friends and I swear all the guys geeks out on this! It works well, we’ve had ours for 2 years and it’s never jammed or suddenly died. It gets about 90% of flies on the first shot, but my husband would tell you the left over 10% is due to bad aim 🤣 It’s a fun way to get rid of bugs in the summer, the only CON is that salt ends up all over your floor haha but it’s almost worth it to see the joy it brings people :) and also the dead bugs! ... show more

Early summer is bringing a lot of small, quick flies. When they get in the house they're hard to get. Not any more. This thing, although a bit expensive, is worth every penny. Kinda fun too, like an arcade. Simple single one pump action and uses regular table salt. Buy it.

    • Gets the job done
Works great, had it so far for a few months and it’s nice. Make sure you push the lever back to the front when you cock it, otherwise it won’t fire as a safety i think. Left some smears, but that's expected when destroying the pests. Works great on any insect
