This ceiling fan goes Well with my Hubby's updated office. He decided to go with black desks and the black side of the ceiling fan blends right in with the sleeker look of this office space. He said it was relatively Easy to install. He did run into an issue where the 2 different light switches turned on different functions of the light. I believe this was eventually rectified. The light puts out a decent amount of illumination. The fan looked quite small out of the box. Once assembled and installed it was fine for the size of that office. It have been working good, put out airflow Satisfactory and serves its purpose. I am not sure about durability since we have only had it installed for a little over a month. I believe this fan is fine for lighter use; however, based on the materials, I am not yet convinced that heavy or continuous use would be a good idea for this fan. Otherwise, it should serve most household requirements for a more updated looking fan with decent airflow. ... show more

Very nice ceiling fan, came with everything needed for install and only issues were self-inflicted. On the plus side I've gotten proficient at installing ceiling fans after making every mistake multiple times, none of which are the fault of this fan. 42 inches is on the smaller side, so get a 52-incher if this isn't going in a smaller room. Other than that I like everything about it and it's got a nicer light and control than some others I've dealt with. 5/5. ... show more

This is a very nice ceiling fan/light combo. It has many options for fan speed, fan direction, a timer, many brightness settings, and you can even silence the "beep" if you like. It makes no motor noise on any setting. All you hear is the blades cutting through the air. And even at 42 inches, this thing moves way more air than the 52 inch clackity-clack WM fan it replaced. It performs well thanks to the quiet, strong DC motor, and it is beautiful. It doesn't hang too far down from the ceiling like a lot of downrod fans I've had before. My only wish would be that its brightest setting was about 20% brighter, because the led light this fan has gets bright but the light points straight down. Maybe if the light wasn't recessed and the edges of it were not covered it would give off light straight down and all around too. I plan to look around the internet and see if i can find a replacement led. This is still a great value for the money. ... show more
