    • A superb knife at an affordable knife
I was kind of skeptical when I bought this knife because of the low knife . Before I start let me clear a few things up the company claims it is German steel with the customary swirls in the metal of German steel , and the first thing you see is made in CHINA. Don't let this discourage you , this knife is tough and does hold an edge , a very sharp edge. I have had to sharpen it several times because I do cook a lot of smoked ribs and cutting through the knuckles will wear down any knife. The first time I sharpened it I was disappointed because I was expecting a sharp edge with a couple of strokes , well that doesn't happen with this knife because the steel is high quality and hard and if you want a sharp edge you're going to have to work for it but it's worth it. I've made a habit of sharpening it after every use now and it does only take a couple of strokes to maintain an edge you could do surgery with if you just do that. I flat out love this knife and wash it by hand as recommended after every use. I've learned to never put a good knife through a dishwasher because it will destroy even the best blade. I'm planning on replacing all of my knifes with these , Paudin makes a great knife !!!! ... show more

Bought this knife for my husband. I have been waiting to write a review until he used it. It’s a beautiful knife to start! The packaging was very nice as well. And it’s SHARP. My husband does a lot of smoking so I wanted something he could use to trim his briskets. He loved how it cut. It was sturdy and sharp enough to easily cut the fat. Husband approved! Great knife!!! Amongst inexpensive knives this is very nice. It has a very nice appearance hand feel nice weight. So far it's cutting nice and doing the job. Works better than more expensive knives I've gotten in the past

    • Great knife with a nice wood handle.
For what its worth, this is a nice performer. The handle looks great next to my other knives on a magnetic block. Thinking about getting a couple to replace the dull garbage at my parents house. Not sure how a blade of this heft and quality can be produced for less than this sale price. Nice knife!

Excellent knife. It's very sharp and thin. I needed a good knife for cutting pork belly and this made much easier. Also it's great for trimming fat on brisket.

One of the best - but choosing a proper sharpener for it is tough - takes a bit of work to sort all that out but the blade once razor sharp is excellent

I generally like to fillet my chicken breasts so I can make cutlets from them. This knife does it with ease and little effort.
