These fans are great. Perhaps they are a little expensive. They are aesthetically attractive. Well designed. Utterly quiet. They filter the air, so the blades don't get as dirty. There is a sensor for the air quality that appears as a light located top left. Blue when the air is clean, red when it isn't and amber when the air is somewhat polluted. I has a replaceable filter in the back which you replace every 7 months I think. Those are around $25. I am so happy with it. Highly recommended ... show more

I have a dog, I occasionally smoke indoors, and I live in a basement so I needed something to filter the big stuff out of the air. Been using it for 6 months and definitely keeps dust levels lower, smells better . You have to wipe the pre-filter off every 1-2 weeks which is basically just wiping the outside wall of the box and thats it. the high speed is a little loud but good to cool down the room or clean the air quickly. The one aspect of this fam that concerned me at first was that it only had one position to blow the air . It basically a box that blows air at knee height , however it sits on four little peg legs which allows you to tilt the unit back onto 2 legs . Its very balanced in this position and works great to blow air upward . The instructions don't mention anything about adjusting the machine like this. so far it hasnt caused any problems for my unit . ... show more

I love this fan. I've had this fan for about 9 months, and have had it on 24/7. I keep in on my nightstand and love the gentle airflow during the night. And it has seemed to help with my seasonal allergies. When on the highest setting, the flow is still pretty quiet and gentle, but enough to cool me down.     • Functional and aesthetic but bright LED light is frustrating at night

I was so excited for this air purifier fan because it’s so hard to come by an aesthetic looking air purifier that’s functional. I love that it’s also a fan! It’s really beautiful and well made. The different levels are nice to adjust - the lowest level is extremely quiet and the highest level is a definitely loud but provides a nice white noise. My biggest issue is that this model has a large and bright LED light on the front of the fan to indicate air quality. This light only turns off on night mode. Night mode is the lowest setting of the fan and is so quiet you can barely hear it. Not the biggest issue for most, but I use my fan for white noise while I sleep, so it’s disappointing that I can’t have my fan on medium or high level without the bright LED light shining in my face while I sleep. Overall I like the fan and will likely keep it, but disappointed that the LED light isn’t able to turn off in all the modes. My roommate has the same fan but an earlier model and it does not have this bright light. I wish the earlier model was still on the market but sadly it is not. I would still recommend this fan, but don’t expect to use it while sleeping if you like to sleep with white noise in the pitch black dark like I do! ... show more

    • wildfire smoke and odor gone !
1. easy to set up out of the box - remove packing/plug in/select level 1-2-3 2. great retro design and substantial engineering 3. because these HEPA filters do not require a high volume of air - this fan is more of an air circulator than a regular box fan - do not expect a gale force wind. It does circulate the air just not at a noticeably high force of air. 4. quiet as advertised Bought this due to the hazardous levels of smoke in our area from wildfires over an extended period of time. When we could smell smoke from the fires inside the house it was time to do something. Our 70's ranch house was not built with an HVAC system and we had not added any AC units so a free standing unit was our go to solution. Previously we had bought a Blueair 411 air filtration unit for the bedroom and it has performed flawlessly and did the job clearing the smoke for that room. For the rest of the house we decided on the PURE fan as being the most economical fix and we have not been disappointed ! Within 30 minutes of turning on the fan the air was noticeably clearer our eyes no longer were irritated and it was the first time in nearly a week of hazardous air alerts that we were able to safely take a deep breath. This fan has exceeded my expectations. It replaced a very old original Dyson multiplier fan whose db level was beyond annoying. The extra added benefit of air purifying sold me. I like the design so much. It’s a little bigger than I expected but not heavy and easy to carry to a different room. It’s low noise level and bedtime no light setting is perfect.
