The media could not be loaded. I’ve only used this a couple times now, but it makes cooking meat so incredibly easy, I can’t imagine cooking steak or chicken breasts any other way. The unit itself is well made, and I prefer the screw attachment vs the clip-on type most others have. It happens to work well in the corner in one of the several-gallon food grade tubs I have on hand. The device is simple, well made, the stainless sleeve comes off for cleaning if needed. However it only sits in plain water and never touches food directly, so probably won’t need much cleaning, except descale once in a while perhaps. The WiFi app is simple and just puts the controls into your home automation if that’s your desire, otherwise, operation with just the unit is so simple: set the temp, and the time, and go. You’ll need to buy separately a way to vacuum bag the meat to be cooked. Use a seal a meal, or something like the sousbear setup. If you don’t have the right size tub for the water, you’ll need to buy that as well. For steak: 133 degrees for an hour and a half works well. Then sear both sides for a minute each on a grill. For chicken breasts: 146 degrees for two hours, then sear if desired. Tenderest juiciest chicken ever. With the coupon this is a good deal. ... show more

I use these for steaks and then broil them at the end for the char. I ended up buying two of these so I can prepare two batches of steaks, medium rare and medium. Product really works well and I’m about 10 cooks into it and no issues thus far.

The actual machine works well. Is very quiet! However the app interface is not the best. It turns off when it’s “done cooking” which doesn’t give you the flexibility that other models have that stay at temp after they are “done”

The media could not be loaded. I’ve had several well known sous vide devices so I know my way around them pretty well. This machine is incredibly easy to use. I don’t like to read directions & this was easy to use right out of the box. It heats very quickly. It’s VERY quiet. It appears well built. I checked the heat with my digital thermometer & it was spot on. The base removes for easy cleaning. There’s lights to tell you what mode you’re in: red is heating up, green is cooking, blue is maintaining heat. My only complaint is the piece that holds the device to your container doesn’t tighten so you can’t adjust the unit up if you wanted. Not a deal killer. I’m super impressed with this product & how fast it heated water (from 86° to 129° in under 5 minutes. Also, you can make the temperature Celsius if you prefer. The price at time of review is $80 with a 30% off coupon ($56) and it’s a steal. I got the unit without the wifi connection because I’ve only used that w another device once but for $10 more it’s still a great deal. ... show more

I had been debating getting a sous vide for awhile. There is a huge range in prices and accessories, but ultimately it’s a simple process. This circulator was easy to use and my steak turned out perfect. I was nervous to get this relatively inexpensive unit but it’s well made and easy to use.
