If you have a smaller-sized hand, like my daughter and I do, you would be well served to try this knife set. The handles on these knives fit our hands well, providing a more secure grip on the knife for added control and safety. Just know that the knives do not arrive as perfectly sharp as we prefer (Sharp knives are SAFE knives!) the blades were sharp, but not quite "shaving sharp", which is our preference. A quick few passes over a fine grade sharpening stone rectified that issue easily, though. (A quick sharpening with a "knife sharpener would do the same thing.) ... show more

Review of BILL.F Kitchen Knife Set with Wooden Block, 14 Pieces Ultra Sharp Stainless Cutlery Kitchen Knife Tool Set with Steak Knives, Kitchen Shears - ASIN B09NQ6T67S I'm trying to learn how to cook more in my retirement and my knife "collection" is decades old and were in serious need of updating. This knife set appealed to me because of the stainless steel. I love how easy SS is to clean and I just like the look. This should be the last knife set I'll ever need since it has pretty much everything, including kitchen shears and a sharpening steel. I cut up an onion and a tomato and was impressed with the sharpness. Now I just need to learn how to use the sharpening steel to keep them sharp. The only disappointment I had with this set is the handles for the scissors/shear and the sharpening steel are plastic. All this beautiful stainless steel and a couple of cheaper plastic handles. It certainly doesn't ruin it for me and I'm probably expecting too much for the price point, but it would have been nice. Despite my minor grievance, I really like this knife set and it looks really nice. The wood block to hold all the pieces is really attractive and functional. The combination of wood and stainless steel is really appealing and everything is perfectly organized. Great addition to my kitchen! ... show more

I bought these knives for my daughter who loves to cook, and was looking for an attractive set she can put on her countertop. This knife set fit the “bill” (pun intended) and she’s very happy with them. These are comparable to a cuisinart set I purchased for myself a few years ago and are a good value with the variety of knives you get. A nice little plus in this set is the kitchen shears which have a storage spot in the knife block. Now there’s no confusing which scissors are to be used for food only! While there are more expensive sets out there and perhaps higher quality, this is a good solid set for your average user. ... show more

I love this set, its such a good set for the price point! I was a little hesitant because the price was so good but pleasantly surprised at the quality! They feel great in my hand,are nice and sharp, of course I did sharpen quickly before using them with a knife sharpener, I always do that with new knives. They look sleek and beautiful on my counter, and the butcher block is also pleasing to look at! I like the pop of natural wood, it just kind of cozies up my cream colored kitchen! The media could not be loaded. I really like the Bill F. knife set because the knives are good quality, they look nice, cut well, and the easily store in the very good quality knife block which is included. The only thing that I am not crazy about is the hand wash and immediately hand dry suggestion printed on the box. It states that the knives should not soak in water and show not be drip dried because it will likely cause surface rust. The knives are pretty sharp and cut well. The handles are comfortable to grip, and I don't feel like my hand will accidentally slip. If I were to change one thing about the wooden block, I would find a different location for the kitchen shears/scissor. They are currently located at the top of the block behind the sharpener tool, and they sit lower to the wood surface than every other piece. It's just a bit awkward, but not a deal breaker by any means. I would definitely recommend the Bill F. 14-piece knife set. It is a quality product and should provide years of service in any home kitchen. ... show more

These knives definitely exceeded my expectations! They’re super sharp and so sharp looking! They cut through a tomato so easily without crushing it. My water leaves water droplets on everything which makes it look dirty even when they’re clean which is annoying. But it does it even on glass too so it’s not the knives fault. This knife set is a tremendous value. No, it’s not the top rated steel, but it’s plenty good for our everyday use. Just be sure to sharpen them before first use. They’re not quite as sharp as they could be out of the box. A sharpener was conveniently included with the set. The wooden block is lovely. You get a lot for your money here.
