It is a great kit, Unfortunately the size I need is not in the kit, not the fault of the supplier but rather my lack of knowledge as to how to reference the spindle/thread size.     • Poor machining
This set looks and feels really nice. The dies are hefty and the stampings are clear, and actually come in a really nice case. Yet none of that matters if they don't work as intended, which they definitely don't because the threads machined into them are not accurately made. I'm a diesel tech and bought these really just for one size, to chase buggered threads on NOx sensors. However, all it does is ruin threads. I tried several of the dies on various brand new bolts, spindles, thread chasers, and sensors, and each one grinds the heck out of the threads. Pretty disappointing. ... show more

    • It'll save your day!
I've used this a few times already to clean up the threads on cv axles. Even was able to fix one that was smashed on the end with hammer. My only complaint is the set screw on the socket. It mostly just gets in the way, and you don't really need to lock the thread chaser into the socket anyways.
