I've had it a few months now and I absolutely love it. It requires 4 C batteries (not included) but as MANY times A DAY the lid opens and closes DAILY..the batteries are still going strong. I have it next to the refrigerator so the lid opens everytime I reach to open the door. I had it next to my cabinet drawers and same thing kept occurring. Since the kitchen is very small it has to sit between the two. Also there's a hugh rectangle light in the ceiling that is very bright, I don't use it unless something small dropped needing it on, however, my medical aides ALWAYS turn it on and that makes the lid open. Great price BUT shipping cost doubled the price..+ $2.??. ... show more

Love this trash can , had it for about two months now and works great! I haven’t had to change the battery yet. The bags are easier to replace, I use 13gallon trash bags just fine. Love not having to open or shut the bin and that it’s automatic. It would be nice if it had a pedal on the bottom in case the battery dies and I can’t replace right away! ... show more

The sensor for the lid sucks and never works right. 95% of the time I must press the open button. When you press the open button, it doesn't auto close. This means you must press the close button too. However, I bought it to prevent my dog from getting in the trash, and it at least does that. All in all it's a inexpensive trash can. It looks good and the retaining ring does a great job at prevents the bag from falling. ... show more

This trash can is nice looking and looks good in my small kitchen. Once I added the four C Cell batteries it didn’t work. I tried a well known & trusted brand but still no power for the opener sensor. For the price I paid I’ll still keep it but very disappointed with the quality of the electric component.
