I had got a new office chair, with purported 'safe for wood floors' wheels. They were not. Thankfully companies make wheel replacements like these Bell Glides that actually work good. The additional felt pads saved me a trip to the hardware (as they are essential for wood floors)... very important to have added those as other brands do not! With these bell glides, the seat glides easily enough on my wood floor, yet still planted firmly and with a good solid feel. Actually makes the chair itself feel more solid and less prone to bodily fatigue (from trying to keep a chair in place that keeps rolling around). I cannot attest to carpet use... I don't have carpet. I will definitely get more of these wheel replacements for any other chairs I need. ... show more

We purchased these to change castor out for a sturdier chair for my elderly parents. Well ... they work well....too well. We have to pick up the chair to slide on ceramic tile. We will keep a little longer but may need to replace so we have a little more maneuverability.

The media could not be loaded. if you have a very personal station and you are the only one to use it, these are a grwat option for making sure your chair is where it should be. They slide without peeling but id recommend to avoid sliding it the first day, rather get some heart and pressure against floor. Havent feel since. ... show more
