before I purchased this steamer, I perused all the steamer reviews . this one was the only one with no negative reviews. subsequently I purchased it and ill tell you, it is great. steam vapor has great propulsion and is extremely hot as it should be. only issue I have is the shortish power cord.

    • Versatile Steamer For Many, Many Uses
I had been looking for a steamer for a while since I read about folks using one to clean and disinfect their toilets and sinks. I had a light blue colored Bissell previously, but it stopped pressurizing possibly from degraded gaskets. I found this unit and immediately my wife put it to use. She filled her up with spring water (manual didn't say to use distilled) and it got heated up quickly. The unit allows you to add water while it's hot since it's supposed to be in a separate chamber, pretty neat and useful since one of the drawbacks of other steamers was that you had to wait for it to cool off before adding more water for use. Now I can keep steaming and not stop for very long at all. The yellow plastic body does look a little cheapy though, but as long as the guts are good and it doesn't get dropped much I think it should be okay, but time will tell. the attachments are nice and the hose is a decent size so i can reach up into tight areas to steam, like in the toilet bowl. No one likes touching the insides of the bowl much. This thing steams under the rim and helps to kill bacteria and viruses that can be on the toilet surface as well as in the overflow drain hole of the sink and in the sink drain. Now I won't need as many chemicals which can often irritate my nose, eyes and lungs. The only thing I worry about it how much humidity is put out in the air. The exhaust fan in the bathroom should be used. It heats up nicely and I can add water while it's hot. I like it so far. ... show more

    • Magic Machine for the Worst Messes
So right after this cleaner arrived, our cat decided to boycott the litter box and pee all over the tile floor. This smelly mess was the perfect chance to try out the steamer. The cat urine was all in the grout as well as the tiles, and had dried since he started right after we went to bed and it sat overnight. (He's an older cat so we figure he just thought he was already in the litter box.....at least that's the excuse we're giving him.) Anyway, this cleaner was easy to fill and use. After cleaning up the initial layer of yuck that could be removed with a towel, we started in with the steamer. My husband held this close to the floor to really work out the stains and smell. He moved slowly across the floor to be sure he wasn't missing any place. After about 15 minutes of work (it was a small area) the stains were gone, and the smell of cat urine was gone. It has not returned. Just a few days later, my son had opportunity to test this on car upholstery after giving a friend who was too drunk to drive a ride home. Yep, the guy barfed all over the backseat. So after cleaning up the initial layer of yuck with towels, he started in with the steamer cleaner. Now this is an impatient young adult using this machine, but he likes his car. He took about 30-45 minutes and proclaimed the car fine to drive. Hmmm.......really? So a couple of days after the cleaning, after the car had been parked in the sun with the windows up, I went and checked to see how it smelled. I opened the door and could smell no trace of vomit, and the backseat was sparkling clean. Wow. Bottom line- this steam cleaner is INDESPENSIBLE. I am not sure how we survived without it for so long, but I am never going to be without one again. This particular machine is very easy to use and works magic. This little product is a workhorse!! I have a bathroom floor that was waxed 6yrs ago & quite frankly the buildup on the floor has made it gross. I bought stripper & I have an electric scrubber & I naively thought that these 2 products would get the job done. They will, but at a turtle's speed. I pulled out this little steamer & started steaming the floor & then scrubbing it with the electric scrubber. Make no mistake stripping a floor is not for the faint of heart or back, but.... In the first scenario of stripper & scrubber only I was able to get a 3ft by 3 ft section done before my scrubber needed to be charged (and it goes for a solid hour minimum). In the second scenario using the stripper, steamer and scrubber together I tripled the area I had cleaned the first time before needing to change my scrubber again. The steamer used 2 1/2 tanks of water & I loved that I could add water to the steamer without pausing my job. The heat is pretty intense. After I turned it off I grabbed a towel & wrapped the end of the hose in it to clean it. There was still a little built up steam in the hose & I burned my fingers as it expelled. Not anything serious, but I won't be touching the end of it like that again. I love that it is light enough to carry or hold while using it. I cleaned my car mats & the grout around my kitchen sink. This little guy has earned a place on my favorite cleaning gadget list. I cannot speak to its long term durability, but it does seem to be built well. ... show more
