  • Weak pin
On first use of the ball joint separator, the pin bent. The items look great, come in a great case, the materials seem to hold up, but the pin they used is the weak point.

  • Solid DIY tool for the price
This review is for the PUNMEW Ball Joint Separator Pitman Arm Puller Tie Rod Removal Tool Kit. The product includes a tire rod end puller, pitman arm puller, conical pitman arm puller, ball joint separator, ball joint remover, and a molded carrying case. Overall, the tools are roughly equal in quality to the tools I've rented from auto parts stores and purchased at discount tool stores. Given its lower cost, this kit is very suitable for the home mechanic and DIYer who uses these kinds of tools only occasionally. I like the low price, versatility, and molded carrying case that keeps everything organized. On the downside, the tools included in this kit should not be expected to be of the same quality as a set of professional tools (which would cost significantly more). The main issue I found with these tools is the minimal amount of post-casting work that was done to clean the edges. These tools also tend to be a bit thicker than their professional counterparts (likely due to the cheaper metal that is used). ... show more
