  • FAKE NOT MOOG!
Ooooo man the reviews was correct got a fake part. Confirmed with MOOG themselves. Not even a good fake. MOOG is made in Japan and should say it right on the ball joint. Even the box didn’t look right. I got the other side that was actual MOOG. So hit or miss guys ! I returned it right away once I spotted the fake. Time to find authentic one! BEWARE! ... show more

  • Suspect they are knockoff
First off let me say I’m a huge moog fan, I’ve always opted for moogs over other brands... with that being said I think this seller is trying to off defective or counterfeit moog parts because I’ve had to replace these ball joints within 300 smooth street miles (replaced one side twice with same item from same seller)... I should have known better because prior to installing and after liberally greasing them they felt quite notchy and stiff vs. the brand new oem ones I eventually replaced them with. ... show more

  • Defective In Every Aspect
I ordered this same part several years ago for a similar car, and didn't have any problems. This one was a complete train wreck! Upon opening the box, I noticed the wrapper was open. The cotter pin was missing. The joint was completely locked and wouldn't budge. The neoprene boot was compressed on one side. Upon further inspection, I saw the boot also had a slice and/or hole in it and was leaking grease. The mounting nut had what appeared to be wrench marks. The label inside the box indicated it was manufactured in Indonesia. Personally, I think they shipped me somebody else's return garbage! If it was new, then I think Moog has serious quality control problems. I am more than nervous at what they will send as a replacement. If you buy one of these, make sure you do a thorough inspection before installing it. I took some pictures for reference. ... show more

  • Unacceptable - 3 defective parts same seller
I suspect this seller is selling the rejects bin of parts. All 3 that I ordered, the '501 and 2 of the '502s were defective. The 501 was grinding in the socket and had a manageable grease leak. Both 502s had defective tears in the grease boot making them totally unusable. Seller should be removed from Amazon - unacceptable. These are not quality moog parts. ... show more

  • Missing nuts and bolts/ Second hand unit?
I orderd both a passenger side and a driver side ball joint. One of the sets did not come with the bolts, nuts or locking pin. I have no idea how that would have happened but without those parts this 40 dollar unit is void. The other came with a grease fitting already installed and apparently greased. I am nut sure why but there are distinct differences in how these parts arrived. My only conclusion is that these have been opened before. Moog is the best and the units are well maid but something about this says foul play! ... show more
