We are happy to purchase this camera. Easy to set up. Don't need wifi and it's safe to use. I love how you can detect the temperature of the room so you can adjust the temperature when needed. And I'm able to adjust the volume and brightness. My favorite part is you can look all around the room without being in there. Here are the items that mattered to me as I searched for a video monitor and it may be helpful for you too. The bottom of the cam is not a screw type, more like a picture hang bracket where there’s a hole to line up with screw on wall- consider that for how you want to mount this monitor. The resolution seems to be 480p not as crisp but gets the job done. So zoom is grainy. Sound is good but there’s a delay- unlike the purely audio monitors. Buttons are kind of loud- I’m trying to use it when I’m in the room w baby so if quiet matters to you…. Overall easy set up like any other ones and decent range. The BIGGEST plus is that it doesn’t beep to notify you of any alerts. That’s the most important thing to me as the baby’s sound sound be the alert enough for the Vox. I’m using it as my second cam. I have another with better resolution , zoom, and buttons aren’t loud but that was $160 retail. I did receive this product to try and review but my review is honest. ... show more

I got this camera because I needed a baby monitor that had at least 2 cameras. I love that this one works for up to 4 cameras so I can use the same monitor for multiple rooms. This is a good, basic baby monitor that works as a closed circuit system with the tablet screen controller, and does not use your home wifi, yet worked from several rooms away for me. The tablet is paired to the included Pan/Tilt Camera out of the box and set up is quick. The camera and relatively large screen tablet use the same AC adapter type, and two are provided. The camera remains connected to power, and the separate battery-operated tablet can be charged depending on use, which takes about 4 hours when depleted. If switched off, the tablet retains a charge for several days, but normally works for about 5-7 hours. Response for camera pan and tilt is good from the tablet controls, there is a VOX setting that can be set at three sensitivity levels to alert you to sound in the baby’s room, as well as a temperature sensor on the camera. Other features include a feeding timer, image brightness settings capability, speaker and microphone in both the tablet and camera for two-way communication, and night vision that switches on quickly if you turn off the lights. In lower light levels without night vision, image colors may not be as accurate as in brighter room light, for example. ... show more

Bought this monitor to replace our original that stopped charging properly. Overall, decent monitor. Works as expected. Picture and sound quality is average and sufficient to get the job done. I opted for this one because I wanted to have a second camera in my child's playroom. Easy to toggle between cameras. So I can keep an eye on him and still get some housework done. I also like that it displays the room temperature. Things I don't like: first, the camera angle is odd for some reason. We currently have it sitting on top of a dresser, pointed towards the crib on the other side of the room. When adjusting the view, I can't look at the floor. Which is minor but sometimes one of our cats sneaks in there and starts making noise. I like to verify it is a cat and not my child making noises in his sleep before opening the door. I plan to mount the camera though, which should solve this issue. Second, the monitor screen is large, which seems like it should be a plus. However, I found I actually didn't prefer it. Our old monitor was smaller and I was able to easily slip it in my pocket while moving around the house. Again, not a big issue but not my preference. My biggest and only true "complaint" is the lack of warning for low battery. The charge itself lasts quite awhile, but it only gives a few low beeps before shutting off. I figured this out one night when I forgot to plug it in and found it dead when I woke up. My old one was loud, obnoxious and went for several minutes before actually turning off. ... show more
