    • Nice lighting kit, comes with everything you need
I got this LED light strip kit for some backlighting in my living room, and it was great for my needs! The LED strip shipped quickly, and came with the LED roll, a power supply, and even a dimmer as well. The strip was long, and the COB style is great for natural diffusion, though I'll admit this was slightly easier to see individual spots then others I've used. The dimmer worked great, and I'd recommend placing the strip inside a channel, and I doubt you'll get away with sticking them to the ceiling or walls by itself, the adhesive on all these strips is not quite enough to hold it's weight when it gets hot after being on for a while.     • Decent quality; colors a little off
I am relatively happy with this LED strip light for the price. It does have a pretty impressive light output, which can be too bright at times, but since it's dimmable, that shouldn't ever be an issue. I light the remote that comes with it and like all of the color selections you can make with it. It's also kind of neat to see the music modes where the light and colors respond to music or sounds that it senses. My toddler had fun making a bunch of noises to make the lights react. I don't plan on ever using the music mode in the future, but it's kind of cool to see that feature. The minor issues I have with this light are the color temperatures and the individual LED spacing that is easily visible. Some of the colors on these lights don't seem to be the correct color. For example, the blue looks somewhat purple, and the white has an odd tinted color to it as well. These are not major issues, but they are minor annoyances. The other "COB" lights I have used have a very uniform light output. This one, however, isn't very uniform. You can see each individual LED bulb, especially if you dim the lights down. It would be nicer if they blended together better to have a more continuous light output. Overall, it's still nice, but its just not perfect. ... show more

This product is fantastic and incredibly to install, making it a breeze to replace old-style LED strips. The adhesive on the back is impressively strong, ensuring a secure attachment. The brightness of the lights is perfect for task lighting, yet adjustable for more subduced settings like watching TV. The light output is uniform and beautifully diffused thanks to the 8mm channel with opal covers, eliminating "dots" without any visible pixels, resulting in a seamless blend with the colors of the room. Much brighter strip than the one I replaced. About half the section width, too, allowing me to tuck in further into corners than before. No longer need other lights on for trivial tasks at night in the kitchen! Price is ok, but for as much as I like these, there are also issues I don't like, so I can only give this one 3 stars for my application ~ which means this one is ok/average value. Please check my likes and dislikes as you may value these observations differently: What I like ~ • Very bright for its size with a beautifully warm color temperature • The covered LEDs do give a nearly seamless band of light from tip to tip • Very soft with little memory, allowing for quick unspooling and implementation • The included dimmer switch is completely optional: The power source can plug directly into the LED strip, allowing for light switch control with zero of the typical remote control version issues. What I don't like ~ • There is a nearly a full second delay between providing power and the strip lighting up. By then I am already three steps into the room. • The leading edge of the adhesive backing will let you unpeel the 'base' strip of the adhesive from the strip, leaving no adhesive on the LEDs ~ be careful. • The adhesive is very thin and probably works best on very clean, glass-like surfaces. I am going to have to use fasteners to keep it secured. • I could not capture it with my camera but the last meter of this 10 meter strip was a little less bright, I assume due to resistance at that distance dropping voltage. ... show more

    • Absolutely perfect for my attic space, nice light from front to back now
The one bulb we had in the attic was terrible, I upgraded it to a multiheaded, directional bulb, which was far brighter, but also much larger. I found that I was constantly either banging against it, or getting very close to doing so, and eventually, it would have broken the bulb or the holder. It also didn't really get the whole attic effectively, but this has solved the problem. This neon strip light was easy to install and keep tucked tight against the eaves, it runs all the way from front to back. I'm no longer worried about knocking it, or banging anything against it, as it is rubber and really won't get damaged. This throws plenty of light, I am don't have to consider adding additional lighting now. A very simple solution that is also very effective. ... show more

These lights are quite stunning. I have used many different led strip lights for projects over the years and these semi continuous COB lights are really nice. At dimmer levels and up close, you can see the individual leds but further away or under a cabinet they look almost like neon continuous lighting. The 24v supply voltage means lower fade levels over a longer run, which is nice. I plan on using these with a zigbee led controller in my smart home setup. Honestly no complaints! ... show more
