Used this to replace tension struts on a Dodge. I like that there were different sizes so I could get the perfect one for the job. I bought one from a big brand parts store a few years ago and that one did not hold up to me hammering on it. This one is definitely more durable and affordable.

Great investment when changing suspension components or dropping front strut towers (and needing to disconnect control arms). Would be a better kit if there were fatter forks though to wedge stuck joints out. I used a fat adjustable wrench, laid flat against the aluminum strut tower, while driving the fork between the balljoint and wrench to pop a particularly seized nipple out. 04 Chevy 1500 4x4 it works. The three sizes are what makes this set so wonderful. Also they come fast and are cheap. Some people are worried about the metal mashing when you hit this tool with a hammer. If you use a hammer that’s what happens most of the time to most tools. With this tool I changed one side upper and lower in 3 hours compared to 10 hours without Recommend other tools: impact gun, snap ring pliers. ... show more
