I have worked as a chef for 10 years. I've owned several knife rolls, and this is the first actual backpack that I've bought for my tools. I have owned it for just over a year. Overall I am satisfied about my purchase. PROS: LOTS of space. I have about 8 various knives, my behiringer mandolin, pastry brushes, two vegetable peelers, measuring spoons, Mercer rubber plating brushes, first aid, honing rod, flat grater, microphone, plating tweezers, fish bone tweezers, pastry cutter, and plating spoons in the front compartment... I'd say it's only about 70% full. The main pocket in the back has a lot of space too... I also have two whetstones in there... my sharpies, dry erase, and aprons... really cool backpack. Doesn't feel cheap. It actually has a nice quality to it. I've also bought their knife covers and aprons.. both priced well and high quality. CONS: Well considering how much stuff I had in my backpack(maybe 25-30lbs?) The top handle started to tear since I would sometimes move it. Zipper has also gotten messed up for the front compartment... don't be rough with the zippers. They can come off easily even if the teeth aren't messed up. Teeth on the zipper got messed up on mine. This bag is holding up pretty well because as a chef I have a lot of tools and so far this bag has help me to travel with everything I need and it’s comfortable on the shoulders and back. The quality is amazing so I think this will last me for a few years.

I use this for classes so I have a lot of utensils in it. I really like the multiple pockets and separate knife roll. It isn’t quite big enough for a large textbook and the knife roll though. I am interested to see how it hold up. I don’t think the zippers are heavy duty.

I do pop-up kitchens 5 days a week as my job, and this bag can fit everything I need for day to day cooking. Tons of room for knives, tools, mandolin, etc. The smaller knife roll is especially useful as I keep a couple of knives, all my plating utensils, etc and just pull that out of the car when we set up for the night. You can even fit a cutting board which is great. Even better than all that, is the customer service. First, Amazon lost my package and the seller was very responsive and fixed the issue. If I had messaged him sooner I'm sure I would have gotten it sooner. THEN, after having the bag and using I daily for a couple months, I slammed my car door on one of the plastic clasps on the outside and broke it. Completely my fault, and he sent me and full new replacement bag for FREE. 10/10 would recommend to anyone that needs to bring a full tool kit with them daily. ... show more
