Description

The Armacost Lighting RibbonFlex Home Dim to Warm LED Tape Light Kit is a perfect all-around solution for any kitchen, bedroom or living room installation. At full brightness, the LED strip light kit’s color temperature is Soft-Bright (3000K). When the LED kit is dimmer, the color temperature transitions to a Warm-White (1800K) glow. The lighting kit features an RF (Radio Frequency) remote that allows control of dimming and LED lighting effects. Control up to three kits with a single remote for larger, custom installations. Cannot be used with AC dimming switches.

Easy to install unless you need to run power to the power supply cord. I’ve bought and installed 6-7 of these light kits - 3 pantries (down each side of the door frame and along the top), in a bar cabinet, bookshelves, under cabinets in 3 locations - and I am obviously addicted. You’ll likely need a roll of 20g low voltage 2-strand wire to run between sections of the light strip and I recommend the “25 pack solder-less LED Tape Connectors” to make installation easiest. I Love the range of white tones and brightness for various moods. Note: This appears to be the exact same product HD sells under a different brand name for about $60. The lights are great quality, easy to use, come with everything needed. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the “warm” dim light reads orange and not warm. They dim two levels before turning Halloween orange. You can see from the pics. Otherwise, great product and I recommend it.

Used for under cabinet lighting in my kitchen. They have been installed for a few weeks now and I really like them. I have them hooked up to a kasa dimmer and (so far, knock on wood) it works flawlessly. Can't comment on longevity yet but I'm hopeful. The transformer does get hotter then expected but the location I chose is open air so I don't foresee any issues but will keep an eye on it. I saw some reviews that said they weren't bright enough but these are actually way brighter then I was expecting which I was happy about. I like having more light then I need and dimming it down. I run these on 60% most of the time and it's perfect. I wiped the area I was installing them with rubbing alcohol and then wiped that area again with a clean paper towel and made sure the area was totally dried. They stuck very well. Even had to reposition a section and it's still sticking well. I did turn them on for a few minutes prior to installing so the glue would soften up some and promote adhesion. Then once installed I left them on for an hour or 2 and went back every so often and applied pressure everywhere to help set the glue. Highly recommend for the price. The transformer power cord comes installed but is easily removed and trimmed to length which I appreciated. ... show more

This would have been a good light set if only they placed the cut lines at shorter distance from each other. Cut lines on this set are 20 inches apart which is almost impossible to work with. There is no mention of this in the product description. All I wanted to do was light up a dark audio cabinet so it could shine on some components that were hard to see. I needed about 12 inch segments for this. I spent so much time splicing and redesigning my lighting configuration to accommodate this poor product. Since it wasn't in the description I didn't even discover it until I opened the package and was halfway through the project, so too late to return and too much of a hassle at this point as I would have to break the audio system apart again to redo. To top it all off, after all that work, only the red and white colors work, probably because of all the joints and unexpected turns I had to make must have cut a circuit somewhere. With so many choices of light strips out there, I would not recommend this product. Very Frustrated!! ... show more
