The articulating arm is very sturdy and well built. Once I drilled it in the wall it's very stable. The "L" shaped clamps on the ends that grip the tablet come in two sizes. You can do all for the same or mix it up to make 3 different widths so you can use various sizes of tablets. I have a 12 inch iPad Pro as well as a 10 inch iPad Air. It works with both but in order to be able to work with both without switching out the "L" shaped clamps, I only had one option in terms of which to use. It does work but it grips the iPad Pro very well whereas it grips the iPad Air well enough that so far it hasn't been an issue but it is not a very tight fit. I fear sometimes that it might slip out. You could solve this very easily by putting a case on the iPad Air but I don't wish to do that. Hard to fault Arkon for this since I believe this product was designed prior to the existence of the iPad Pro. Now that it does exist however, perhaps they could include a third size for the "L" shaped clams that is slightly smaller? I could see how this might not be practical in a cost to benefit ratio though. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It’s actually made of metal not plastic! I was worried it would be plastic and flimsy, but it’s actually really nice and sturdy! Even on the bumpy roads it holds my 10” iPad up with no problems! It’s not the most expensive truck mount and it’s definitely not the cheapest. But it definitely exceeded my expectations, and I’ve went through a few different mounts that seemed to be pretty good at first but ended up being junk! I don’t see this one doing that but if it does I’ll update my review and let you know…. ... show more
