Description

The TAB803 tablet mount can be used with all large tablets 7 to 18.4 inches in screen size, including Apple iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 and iPad Air, iPad 4, 3, and 2, Samsung Galaxy View, Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 and 12.2, Galaxy Tab A 8.0, Galaxy Tab E 8.0, Galaxy Tab S 10.5, Google Pixel C, Microsoft Surface Pro, Nexus 10, and Nexus 9, LG G Pad 10.1, Sony Xperia Tablet Z4 and Tablet Z. This mount includes Arkon’s Slim-Grip Universal Tablet Holder and Heavy-Duty Aluminum 4-Hole Drill-Base Mounting Pedestal with 22” Adjustable Arm. The Slim-Grip tablet holder fits tablets 7 to 18.4 inches in screen size. The holder features a spring-loaded design that makes it easy to insert or remove the tablet by pushing down on the lower legs of the holder with one hand. Included with the holder are 10 support legs (4 short, 2 medium and 4 long versions). Choose the 4 legs that provide the best fit for your tablet. These insert at the top and bottom of the holder and can be easily adjusted in order to keep any side buttons and ports unobstructed. For most large tablets, the best mount holder configuration is to attach 2 short support legs on top and the 2 long support legs on the bottom of the holder. For vertical viewing, adjust the 360-degree swivel. The 4-hole drill base mount features three adjustment points and is made of strong aluminum. It’s ideal for environments where a more permanent solution is desirable, such as in a workshop or in retail. Screws are included. This mount can also be screwed directly into the floor of a car or truck. (Warning: Drilling into the vehicle’s floor may damage the vehicle. Use caution and consult a mobile install professional to avoid drilling into any sensitive vehicle components.) Bend the 22” adjustable arm and rotate the swivel ball adapter head for 360° rotation for exact positioning of the tablet.

    • Arm is good, but the pad holder wobbles, quick response from Arkon and they are sending me a new one
I attached this to my RV to hold a iPad 12.9 so I could have big screen navigation. The arm is strong and well built. The part that you use to grasp the iPad works, but it wobbles. I haven't had the RV out driving yet since I installed it but I am pretty sure that it will make it hard to use given the small but noticeable amount of back and forth movement allowed. I am thinking of glueing the quick release part together to solve this....... Update - I got a very prompt response from an request I submitted via their website and they are sending me another one. Originally bought another Akron mount. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00585CLSQ/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00 It was well-built and worked well. However, it really isn't designed to be adjusted frequently. There is a semi-flexible aluminum rod that bends when you move it. After two weeks, the rod snapped in half due to metal fatigue. Disappointed, because it was exactly what I needed, I sent it back for a refund. I found this model shortly after and ordered it. The adjustment is done with movable joints, instead of a flexible metal rod. This solved the issue and I couldn't be happier with it. If you don't need to adjust it frequently, save your money and buy the cheaper model. If you'll be moving the mount/adjusting it often, go with this one. ... show more

This thing is rock solid. I have it mounted directly to a utility cart to hold a tablet and it holds it completely wobble free. The three points of articulation give a pretty extensive range of motion and position and are relatively easy to loosen and tighten on the fly to reposition. 1000% better than any goose neck support arm out there.     • I own three of these, on the last purchase the wall arm is defective and Arkon customer service is TERRIBLE
I own three of these Akron ipad wall mounts. Two of them are fantastic. On the third one I just received, the wall ball joint (where you tighten the arm at the wall) doesn't tighten properly out-of-the-box (as-received from Amazon new.) Given that I own two of these already, I know what is correct and incorrect. The ball joint at the wall won't tighten easily/enough and requires all of my 200+ pounds of body weight leaning into-it and manual adjustment of the tightener (loosen the allen screw so you re-position the tightener/knob to be where you need it to lean into it to get leverage) to get it barely tight enough. Needing the product and fearing others being shipped have the same issue (and from another recent review, I see they may), I tried to call Arkon on their customer support phone lines multiple times. When you choose customer support, it rang forever and they never picked-up. This happened to me throughout the day on multiple days. When I emailed them, I did receive a response. They asked for pictures which I provided in-detail including a markup (arrows) to show the loose part, the product/item information, and my Amazon receipt. I pinged them again to confirm they received my email and they then told me they would ship the part. They shipped me a completely incorrect part that had nothing to do with this product, it was a knob for the Arkon iphone mount of theirs which I also own. Not only was it for the wrong product, but a knob wouldn't solve this issue even if were for the ipad mount-- it's a ball joint issue. The defect is in the ball joint sizing. Dealing with them was too much work-- not answering the phone and this back/forth in email only to get the wrong part. Despite my owning now four of their products (3 ipad and 1 iphone), it is clear they are having some kind of manufacturing issue and their customer support is terrible. I couldn't recommend them again. What I can say is that if you buy this product and hit an issue right away, return it to Amazon and find some other solution. Don't expect Arkon to be easy to deal with on a replacement part. It's too bad because I was very happy with their products up until this point. ... show more

Use this to hold my iPad when using the treadmill in the gym. Works perfect. It's mounted to the wall and has tons of adjustments. Easy to use and adjust while running. It was pricey but it works well and was a great solution.
