Just be careful, it catches the hair of my 8 year old niece. If this happened, just pulled out the fan. I debated between two different handheld portable fans and am really glad to have gone with this one for several reasons: safety — fan has a safety mechanism, so when the blades hit something, the fan completely stops. this saved my hair as it once got caught, but the fan stopped, and I was able to get my hair out (undamaged) in less than five minutes convenience — fan has a wrist strap, the cap can fit onto the bottom and has a grippy plastic so the fan doesn’t move when places down, and the neck is adjustable up to a right angle air flow — I brought the fan with me to a concert, on a trip to texas, even on public transport, and the breeze it makes has helped cool me down in no time in all situations portability — it’s compact and easy to carry, I went through TSA with it in my backpack and had no problem ... show more

I recently went on a two week trip to Cambodia. It just so happened to be the record hottest weather for the year topping 108°F. I bought this fan last minute just before and didn’t even test it out. Let me just say I am SO grateful for this small yet mighty fan! I would not have survived my trip without it, seriously! I used it literally every day and night for those two weeks. I used for hours while walking through temples, charged it as getting ready to meet for dinner (it didn’t need but thought better to be safe since I don’t know first hand how long it might last), charged while sleeping and never ran out of power the whole trip. It’s compact to fit in a small purse or fanny and has a protective case to keep from damaging the blades.
