The media could not be loaded. Mine officially broke down today but dont be afraid of purchasing one. Mine broke but after months of driving it on dirt, concrete asphalt grass. Ive jumped it off ramps and sand dunes grass hill. Off of my tow trucks flatbed which is about 41/2 feet tall to land on concrete or dirt. Ive crashed it several dozeb times. I stressed it out with a battery that was 11.5 volts 5000mah. And it still worked fine. Just now that i broke it at the parking lot. Im a tow truck driver and on my down time i post up anywhere and i get bored so i play with this rc. Decided to see how much the spare parts cost because this rc is worth fixing. I still have the spare axle that it came with i just came here to see the cost so i can have them in. Case this happens n the future im ready to replace it. Btw im guessing that it wouldnt of have broken if i would of had left the stock tires and wheels on. I put bigger one and this wasnt the first time ive rolled it and crashed with these tires. Im guessing tho that it finally bent the axle to much or it weakened it to the point of failure. Had i kept the stock wheels it would of most likely been fine. So yeah it's not the rc's design at all it was my abuse and adding more weight exceeding what it was designed to handle. Which held up fine lol ive had these on for about 2 months now and i use it quite often and wrecked it alot so it held up fine. Awesome rc you'll enjoy it or whoever your thinking of buying one theyll love it. I'd say this is maybe the last level of quality before you get into the rc's that sell for several hundreds. For the price and quality and plain joy i got from using it, this is one of the few things I do not regret spending my money on. She'll be up and running as soon as my shift is over and i get home to swap out the new one then I'll quote Dr. FRANKENSTEIN "ITS ALIVE ITS ALIIIIIVE!!" ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is my second Rlaarlo and really I love it so far , my first was the AK 787 but currently keeping as shelf queen lol, the 917 as a brushed version it is actually pretty quick but unfortunately the motor burned for some reason, I reached out to Rlaarlo customer support on their website and within a week I already have a replacement motor. While I was waiting I installed a 4300kv 60amp combo brushless system that I had in hand and this thing rips with stock gearing on 2s and even better on 3s . If you’re on the fence on buying just pull the trigger and get one or two , this thing is affordable and a blast . Thanks again Rlaarlo for sending the replacement motor so quickly. ... show more

    • Awesome little car with two potential problems
I got this car against my gut instinct. I really liked the look, the spare parts, the overall power potential, and the durability. It was a lot of fun and a new type of car for me. I would say it got around 25-30mph on a 2s battery and closer to 40mph with 3s. It has a LOT more energy and punch to it with the 3s. BUT, there were two problems I had with it that you'll want to consider. 1. The steering is too sensitive. If you're going to control this at higher speeds, this thing is tricky to keep from spinning out. It turns too much even when you barely turn the control. I'm a good driver and was able to eventually compensate for it, but after trading it in for a different buggy you'll see what I mean. 2. As a couple others have mentioned, the motor gets hot really fast. I suspect it's because the gearing ratio is super high. It goes pretty fast with a 2s, and too fast with a 3s, but it gets hot in no time. I ended up burning it up with just a little bit too much playing around with a 3s. I was bummed, but AMORIL was great in offering a 30 day no questions asked refund. So for that this gets 4 stars. If you're not as aggressive in your driving and looking for something more entry level but still hobby type grade, this is a great option. Just don't put a 3 cell battery in it and you'll be fine. I ended up replacing it with the WLtoys 124017 brushless version which was a little bit more $$, but solved both of these issues. The steering control on it is great, it's super fast and punchy, and doesn't get too hot even with a 3 cell battery. And crazy fast. NOTE: You will need to adjust the toe/camber alignment on the front and rear axles since it is way out of whack from the stock setup. Do some google research to learn how to do that and you'll be fine. ... show more

    • Awesome Christmas gift
My 8 year old son loved it for one of his Christmas gifts. As parents we were very suprised by the overall construction of the RC car, for being made in China, it has some weight to it unlike most RC cars/trucks . By the looks of it, it SEEMED like it would be very durable. The reason I said SEEMED is because the first time my son took it outside on Christmas he drive it off a normal height sidewall at a rather slow speed and one of the bolts bent when it landed. It did come with some extra parts so I guess will have to do some investigating to see if there is possibly a replacement bolt. I will update if we are able to find one, and solve the problem. As well as change My star rating For the price paid I'm not too happy that it broke within the first like 35 mins of him playing with it. ... show more
